Go with whatever you think will be the most fun for you, but keep in mind, when the CURB hits live, you'll be able to respec all currently used skill points for free into any professions you want to, that aren't Force Sensitive. In my case, as a Triple Threat, I'll get to re-allocate 247 skill points(three left unused by Smuggler, Gunfighter, and Teras Kasi) into whatever I feel like.

VegitoX I was wondering why you plan on going MS/MBH? I plan to do the exact same thing but was curious as to your reasoning? I am not sure how much I will be a "Jedi Hunter" as MBH as thats really never appealed to me. However since back in beta I have always wanted to be a BH. Been there twice now but always wind up dropping it. I plan to be mostly a PVE player but that may change depending on how smuggler bounties look (and maybe do some jedi hunting who knows). I just wonder how well a MBH/MS will be suited for PVE.

Oh and to answer your question I am currently working towards my goal of MS/MBH. I figure I might as well get as much of the exp'n out of the way before the CU.

Baldrog, I know this question wasn't directed at me - but it's the template I plan on taking, so I thought I'd throw in my thoughts as well:

I have various reasons for taking this template, and I'm not just looking at mod numbers. The only major weakness of BH is its lack of crowd control. This is something that can be augmented by MS. With MS and MBH, you also get certed for both Recon and Assault armor. Having both options will come in handy.

Furthermore, both BH and Smuggler give general ranged and accuracy mods, rather than weapon-specific mods. This means that Smuggler will add to your effectiveness with all three of the BH weapon types (Pistol/Carbine/LLC).

In addition, you can enhance your income and create major savings through MS. You can sell faction points, slice your own equipment, and hire your slicing services out to other people. On top of bounty payoffs, this will be a welcomed addition to your overall income.

Another nice thing, and possibly the winner in my eyes, is content. You end up with two of the most content-rich professions in the game (especially if they ever fully implement Smuggler content). Also, if they ever bring about player-bounties against smugglers, you'll have the option of hunting down and doing away with your Smuggler competitors.

There are definitely more uber templates out there if you're just looking for raw numbers in accuracy, speed and defense - but few that come close to the "cool" factor of having both MS and MBH. That's really the deciding factor for me - and the raw numbers themselves aren't half bad anyway.

Grimwrath thanks for the reply and I couldnt agree more with ya on your reasoning to be MS/MBH. I still wonder how this template will fare in PVE since the devs state that MBH will be the best at 1vs1 and dont really mention much about PVE content.

Guess we will find out once the CU goes live. Again thanks for your reply.

the numbers might not quite match so ml other template proposals, but I've never been big on math. It seems to me MBH/MS will be the most flexible of the templates, offering a variety of weapons, two (or in my template 3) types of armor, a high level carbine, a heavy rifle, a master level pistol, a tank/nuke hybrid prof coupled w/ acrowdcontrol/nuke hybrid prof. I've head rumors of one or two yet to be mentioned BH certs...

And then There's the content, with BH missions available, and Smuggler missions in the works the content is second to none. The RP aspects are also quite appealing.

Honestly combining MS and MBH sounds like so much fun it should be illegal

hehehe, yeppers. I'm just glad that we'll finally be able to do this combo. It's definitely the most content-rich template you can get in SWG.

This template leaves 23 unused SP's, and I've yet to fully decide on where I'll put these. I've thought about TK 4xxx (meditate/powerboost), Pistoleer 4xxx (pistol speed), and Commando 4xxx (defenses). And regardless of which I decide on, I'll most likely use the remaining 3 points in FS Ranged Speed.

But either way, it's all about having fun - and I think the MBH/MS template promises a lot of that.
