Thread: Double Slicing question.....

Ok, I see post about these weapons being double sliced, How in the world can you double slice a weapon after its been sliced once?
I have heard about adding a PuP but still dont see it, I know its a exploit and should not be done but, I would like to know how its done.

Maybe he just wants to know in case someone asks him 'Hey do this for me' he will know it is illegal. As it stands now, he doesn't know what to say no to. THAT'S WHY MR. CAPS!

Easy... Any slicing that involves something other than "start slicing", "use slicing tools", "done slicing" is not acceptable. I will not say Legal cause technically its supposed to be Illegal anyway

I i had a guy tell me to use a PuP when slicing his weapons, i did not understand what he wanted me to do with it, i am new to the slicing, i seen a post on double slicing and would like to know how its done, this is so i do not do this in game, i have guys ask me to do things with slicing and i am not sure if its expoits or what. When a weapon is sliced it has the text on it about being sliced so i dont see or understand how a smuggler can do a double slice..

TorenYscar,
Here is the process a legit slice will follow. If you purposely do something in this sequence to alter the process, then most likely it is an exploit and you should not do it.
- Have a Molecular Clamp, Upgrade Kit, and Precision Laser Knife in inventory.
- Take weapon or armor piece. Use the radial menu, and select the "Slice" option. If the weapon had a power up on when you begin this process, the game will automatically remove the powerup, as well as give you a system message stating that it was removed.
- Apply the Molecular Clamp.Cut the wire it tells you to slice first.Cut the second wire.
- The game will generate the results and improve the weapon or armor piece.
If you have a client that tells you to do anything differently in this sequence, then do not do it. It is outside of the game mechanics and is therefore an exploit. This is how the system is designed.

Nerro, Thanks,, I know all that but, what i also need to know is how do i know im not double slicing a weapon? is the Text on it or not?

If you follow those steps exactly, do not add any items or steps, then you are not exploiting. This goes for a powerup exploit, double slice, or any exploit. Exploits will always be a part of a game, and they will be fixed. Always follow those steps exactly, and you will never have to worry that you are exploiting. You won't be.
