In beta for the expansion. I know there's NDA's and stuff involved, so we'll have to go to our pre CU code system.


Will we be smiling, frowning, or outright pissed?



"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

jury is still deliberating. Rumor has it itsa hung jury, but no rope was brought into the deliberation room.

I just pre ordered the expansion. Mainly cause I want the bunker and the Yt 2400 HEHE I don't want the flea.. but hey..it might be cooler than it sounds. Who knows. I'm kinda looking forward to it. Another new planet to poke around. Maybe some smuggler loot drops..who knows. I'll be optimistic till it comes. then i'll complain. HAHA

I'm casting a vote on pointless to even ask.

Bunker: Cool
YT2400: Cool
Whatever other crap they give everyone MINUS the stupid lavasaber and other jedi stuff: Probably cool

What would I want out of this expansion? MAYBE the 2400, even though I still like my 1300. Is this expansion worth 30 bucks? No. Not to see Obi Wan's blue glowie, not to run this game further off the SW timeline than it already is, not to obliquely state that this game is now officially KOTOR online.

Actually, I'm trying to pry into the whole "we'll see something with the expansion in November" comment Julio "Bookshelf" Torres made.I'm hoping there's some Smuggler in here who is doing beta that also remembers the pre CU smiley thread so they can give us a clue.


That and I'm hoping they're smart enough to clarify that statement before things erupt around here.


Personally, I think Julio meant there was content in the expansion, not that we were getting smuggling in it or around the same time. Now I'm just waiting to be proven wrong... which usually doesn't happen with this stuff.


Either way, I'd rather know ahead of time so we know whether or not to equip our flame suits for that day.

If I remember correctly, he implied that Smuggler players would have something good in November. I took this (as I am optimistic) to being that Smuggling content was scheduled for sometime inNovember. However, they haven't released the Squad Leader revamp (pub 24) and the ranger revamp is in development as well.


I think their plan (again I'm an optimist)was to release the Squad Leader revamp at the end of September, the Ranger revamp during October, and SmugglerMIssions by the end of November. However, withthe delays to pub 24, it's likely that the entire schedule will be pushedback. Additionally, the new expansion will most likelyhave bugs(here I'm being a realist) which will take up more of the devs time.


I honestly think they were planning Smuggler content for November butIdon't think it'llbe ready because the Squad Leader and Ranger stuff is taking longer then expected.

The timeline? Perhaps. The quality? Not even close.


I guess I'm looking forward to the bunker, I like decorating stuff, so here's another chance. The Skiff might be pretty cool, too. We'll just have to see.

The only reason I'm throwing it out there is because it was, if I remeber correctly, mentioned in the context of the expansion. When asked if he was referring to expansion content or smuggling content, neither he nor Tiggs would verify.


So I'm still hoping for a smiley of some sort here if anyone has seen anything "good" for us Smugglers.

Read between the lines. It means we will have some Smuggler only mission where we get another pistol none of us will use aka The Black Falcon.
