Thread: Damage decreasing on weapons after sliced? % not adding up!?!?!

Well...I've seen msgs that a weapon was not able to be sliced but why would a player be able to slice a weapon if the adjusment would lower the stats?
This is another reason why SMugglers are obsolete and no longer a fixture in this game.
Unfortunetly I will no longer be needing Smugglers to slice any of my weapons do to this error and faulty coding by SOE's developers.
To create a desire to experiance player content there needs to be a gain from partakin in such activities...not a penalty.
Has this game gotten that bad?
I need to put emphasis on my original mentioning of the 998max dmg:
This is a sliced FWG5 without pup and is hitting 998max dmg. With a pup it hits 1155.
What is the highest dmg obtainable on a pistol???

dmg cap on a featherweight fwg5 should be 966. If it was crafted higher than that then a slice will drop it to 966.

It's as I state. featherweight fwg5 998 max dmg sliced and 1155 with pup.

It's as I state. featherweight fwg5 998 max dmg sliced and 1155 with pup.
it's lowering because the gun was somehow crafted above the intended cap. I don't know if it was a pre-CU gun that converted amazingly or if the crafter exploited to get the 998 max dmg. Either way, or any other method for that matter, you shouldn't see a non-pupped fwg5 with more than 966 max dmg.

I am so sorry. This has kind gotten off topic - my fault.
The fwg5 was an example not relating to the real question.
The Ion Stunner Pistol is 750max dmg although when sliced to 8% the max dmg goes up to 754.
Actually, the minimum damage keeps going up, but noone ever notices min damage...

I am having a hard time seeing how this weapon would be allowed to be sliced when it were already capped. The prblem is wasiting additional slices into it when there's no return for the added "improvement".

Most welcome. Juist remember 754 is not the "hard cap" at CL50 just for this gun.
