feel a little intimidated posting on the smuggler forum, so plz dont low blow me.
Just wondering if anyone has tried slicing armor yet on TC and if u could give me the low down on how it affects armor. And if there is anything that i should be aware of that pertains to the armorsmith profession. heard a neasty rumer that sliced armor will not be able to be sold on a vendor due to it illegal nature.

As far as I know none of us TLBers have gotten that far into the smuggler tree yet. Try again in a week or so.

nope, i haven't made it past the novice smuggler box yet. butwe will let you know as soon as we know. as we are curious as to how it will affect armor as well.
and as far as sliced items not being sold on vendors. i'm all for that. they ARE illegal. i know many merchants and crafters had it good, but it's about time they made illegal contraband seem like illegal contraband.
that goes for weapons, spice, and smuggler toolstoo. nothing illegal should be allowed to be sold through a legal market system. it makes no sense and wrecks immersion.

Quick, he's intimidated! Finish him off!
Man, someone should at least start ululating here. Come on.
Sliced armor and stuff should still be able to be sold on vendors. Most of us smugglers don't think it should be, or at least that there needs to be risks or penalties for doing so, but as far as we know there are no plans to do anything about "contraband" on vendors.
Also, for some reason slicing currently takes pistol xp on TC, which will take us a while to level up and see what the deal is. But you can bet your ubese we'll be happy to let you know what's up once we've checked it out.

Kind of off topic but I wonder what would happen if someone tried to sell like kilo's of cocaine on Ebay...... Kinda the same thing here.

maybe smugglers might be able to slice vendors for making em able to put illegal stuff on em? maybe you would have to refresh that sliceonce a month or so...would be a nice profit source for us

perhaps it shall Stay disabled until the revamp? seems like an integral part or the prof to be disabled.... I mean why would they? only reason I can think of is that slicing would unbalance things as they currently stand... so how can they balance it late if they can't now?
