Thread: So who here is still holding out hope that GreenMarine will come through on the smuggler revamp?

I've got some bad news...
That's right, the big man hasn't been on the forums since March 11th, seems to me that was right before the CU was announced... I wonder who else has been missing from about that time...
Wow, now that is interesting, seems to me JustG was oneof the major developers in charge of shapping the course of the game, yethe's gone at about the same time... Seems Blair tookthe leadspot on the dev team, judging from the whole "Blair's Blog" thing from right before the CU... Although... If I recall, Blair only actually updated the blog one time, then some other dev did two other times... what happened to Blair?
Even more interesting, Blair is gone two weeks after the other three, and only 3 days after he posted the blog...
Did anybody notice on the HOC chat last night that none of the developers were listed as the lead developer for SWG?
Things that make you go "Hmmm....".
Also of note:
SOETyrant <- This one is interesting, since when I checked back in late april for the first time,the last time he had logged in was also March 11, so it looks like they forgot to close this account on him, heh.
Anyway, good luck with your revamp.

GM's still around I believe, but they've made a concentrated effort to filter ALL devs through TH and Tiggs.
SOME devs still participate, just for the fact that they give too much of a damn about the game apparently...
but yea, their general policy is, "telling people things is bad."

Few other devs and links for reference:
Rogue_5 <- he seems to be a regular
Darth_Platypus and AviStetto <- they seem to be a bit more private (and probably wisely so) but have interacted in at least the last month
SOETyrant and GreenMarine both stopped appearing on the forums on March 11, tho as I previously noted, Tyrant has logged on once since then. GM's last public post was november of last year. Blair posted the first update about the "new" CU on March 18th, one week exactly since GM and Tyrant were last seen. Coincidence? Maybe, but lets face it, how likely is that?

Well, it is isn't it? I mean, really the Smuggler update, it's a "Who dun it" sort of thing, we get excuses that other things take precedence over our updates promised well over 18 months now, and finding out who to blame next, well the excuses are running thin, and after this last so called "Publish" it's made even more people irate over the sheer amount of breaks over fixes, and complete lack of content. Is there any relevance to this being Publish 18 and it being 18 months since the promises were written, we'll never know. Tune in next week for another exciting short serial "who done it"!!!
(BTW, wh00 wh00 my fellow Lotus Ninja, I may not be a guildie but I've been a hatchet man for 8 years)

GM is still there, Veela talked to him at E3 and I talked to Darth_Platapus about him after the Stratics HOC chat.
JustG and Tyrent are gone.
Apparently in Tyrent's case it was a 'leave or we will make you leave sort of thing after differing viewpoints on how the CU should be surfaced between him and some of them powers that be.
JustG was apparently unhappy with the direction things were going and quit on his own.

GM is an awesome designer at the very least. I've never seen his code so I can't say one way or another about his quality as a programmer but hey... he's an underling. It's too bad the ass kissers will always be the ones calling the shots and people like GM who actually do good work don't get to.
