Feign Death now works differently.
Wehn you feign death you keep on taking damage.
Damage untill you incap, and then you can be death blown.
Simple enough.
IMO it killed the only real defense a smuggler had.

Yeah, suckhouse.
Did you do any PVE testing on it? I don't think its ramifications against AOE creatures has been fully explored yet.

... the result of the /force whine 3 people... and as always it kills the profession from within... Not a good change at all.

Well, I dont think FD had a place in PVP. However, it should still work in PVE from what I have heard.
I do feel, however, that a "Corpse of" title should have been added to a player using FD, although the venerability should still be there.

That's the intent. Too many people were abusing it as a "You can't kill me" button, investing only enough skill points to pick up 0010 Smuggler.

I can see how the FD change was needed for PvP because it was being abused. What I can't see is why they made the change without adding any defensive stats to smuggler. We now have NO defensive bonuses in PvP, we are required to obtain pistol and unarmed skills before moving on to what is now basically a crafting profession with combat requirements. I believe that the change will not affect PvE very much, since almost every creature/NPC that I have fought and feigned left me alone after I feign (until I got back up).. I however have been griefed multiple times because of bugs in the game (remember the corvette forcing ppl to be overt after unload) where feign was the only thing that got me home in only 1 death (now however you will go combatant when you die, so it shouldn't affect me as much anymore). If they intend forthis"fix" to change the PvP abuse..it probably will. But now I can't justify having master, when all I need is 0404..I can now spend my points back in TK where I can get defensive bonuses again. I'm definitely not griping, just stating the very frustrating facts. I say Yay for this change, but there should have been some bonuses added for those of us who don't abuse it.

fd in pvp should not have been removed.
it should have been moved to higher level like master smuggler, keeping fd vs pve the same.
or give master bh an ability to force out of fetgning.
the problem wasnt the mechanics. the problem was the dabblers in both professions bh and jedi who abused our system and then cry when it worked as intended.

so then why call it "feign death" anymore since that name implies that I can actually fool my opponent and be safe from incap or death.
Why not just change the name to "I give up" since basically the move will be me laying down with the ability to do nothing else until my opponent kills me.
Yeah that sounds like a skill I need on a hot key.

Yeah, I want one of them. Where's the cockpit, by the way, center hull or on that pontoon?

The YKL-37r "Nova Courier" has the cockpit placed in the port pontoon. If you click on my name in my signature, you'll see a picture of me in the cockpit, with the bow in the background.
