Thread: Term Expired..

That's right boys and gals, rogues and scoundrels, my time's up; each Correspondent has a 6 month term and mine came to an end a while ago.Due tothe recent testing and going live of the CU and RotW expansion, the developers extended the terms for those that had reached their end. That extension is over and I'm faced with a choice; Say, "yes please, I'd like to stay on" and assuming they want me, remain as Smuggler correspondent, or retire and let someone else take up the mantle.
"Ok? And?" you may ask... well, given I'm meant to be a representative of this community, I feel it's important that you all havea say in what's said and by who. So, I want to know whether or not you'd prefer some fresh blood to come take the reigns (and there are many fine candidates that I can think of 
), or if you're content with what you've got.
), or if you're content with what you've got.I won't deny that of late, I've not exactly been the hub of activity I should be and for that I'm sorry. My final year of university is coming to an end and with it, apparently, so is my sanity

. Anyway, this isn't meant to be some popularity contest, or a putrid attempt to boost my ego; I'd like your honest thoughts of "stay" or "go", with or without a reason. If you're not comfortable with replying to this thread and would rather PM me, that's fine also.
If you want someone new to take over, that's fine by me and I'm certainly not going to take offence, but if you can put up with me for a bit longer, that's fine by me also; so, don't hold back and just say what you want

I think you're doing a great job, Wes, and I'd hate to see you go. However, I know that that university thing is like, so for my part, I'll say this:
If you want to stay, I want you to stay. If you want a break and more time for uni or otherwise think it'd be better for you and/or us to get the fresh blood, then I say we go that route. This isn't so much butt-kissing or "don't care", But I think you're a great coresspondant, I'm and I think I can back either decision you'd care to make on the topic.

Well, I'm a career lurker, and I have no problems whatsoever with you staying on. You been a voice for reasoned, levelheaded discussions for the profession, and done well, in my opinion.
I say, sign up on the dotted line for another term.

Your work as a correspondant is a decent portion of why I picked up Novice Smuggler today, Wes. You do a fantastic job at it. I'd personally love to see you stay on and continue doing such wonderful things for the profession.

Hmmm.... ummm.... I'm thinking of 1 word. It starts with a S and ends with a Y... thats right its STAY! 
You've done a great job. But i agree with everyone with saying that real life does come 1st, so if you need more time for school or other stuff. just so what you feel like.

Dont you dare leave...
We need a corrrespondent like you, and even though there are many other good candidates, you know the ropes and we should have a good experienced Smuggler Correspondent when our revamp comes closer.
Stay... please!

Wes I think you've done a fine job and would have no issues with you sticking around as long as you are able to remain dedicated as you can with school and such. If you did't think you could actually give it your all for us, I have confidence that you'd realize and say it. But if you decide to give it a pass to someone else there are a few active folks that have some great ideas I've seen that I'd be ok with as well.

i demand that you stay!
the only people who would take it up are Ymiz, myself and a couple others (and the entire board)
or course i wont get it, but that doesnt stop me from applying
the only reason i would tell you to leave is caylin wants it, or Garvin became a smuggler and wanted that postition, well... maybe not...maybe only garvin, but thats cuz hes a great corr
