1 what is the cap?


2 does the durable lathe sound like a waste on a vk?


3 do speed pups increase the speed if you are capped?

Every profession caps its attacks when you have 100 speed mod. TK is the only profession in game which caps it just by attaining master (you get 115 at master), you DON'T need SEAs or speed pups. Unofficially, it goes the same for fencer, although they get 90 speed, one-handed weapons usually have low speed, allowing you to be virtually capped without SEAs.


Edit: if you're not looking to go TKM, even at Power Techniques 4 you're still capped (+95 speed). You'd need a VK with over 8.0 sec speed to notice anything

yes it is, imo.You would see more benefit on a much slower weapon, like a scythe, or hammer...

I'm saving my lathe to help me level through another melee profession in the future.


If you have a good set of VK's with low speed, you won't notice a huge difference in the rate of attack after a couple of boxes in TKA anyways.

1) Skills cap at 125


2) yes


3) no


One last thing... do NOT spend huge amounts of money on uber-speed VKs (also anything below 1.0 is redundant since 1.0 is the fastest you can hit no matter what you do). You'll hit master before you know it anyway and will have wasted a lot of money on something you no longer need. 1.6 speed knucks are fine, especially with pups, and they don't cost an arm and a leg.

reward from FS quests... +30% speed pup for like 500 uses i think.... biggest waste of a pup if i ever seen one =(

Actually only Ranged and melee defense cap at 125. Dodge, counterattac, and block also cap at 125. You can have upwards of 190 accuracy With 0400 Bh master carbineer



Defense Vs. Cap at 90

What would be the point of 250 unarmed Damage and 215 or so Accuracy if it caps at 125?

Just curious.

Havent seen this talked about at all maybe i missed it.

They plan to change the mod we get in smuggler from unarmed speed to something like general ranged speed?

All our moves are ranged based makes no sense to have + to unarmed speed imo.

Anyone know?
