Thread: What we love about being a smuggler
smuggler has the greatest potential for RP (yes i do RP)
Han Solo was a smuggler, and Han Solo was so much cooler then that whiny farm boy 'jedi'
maybe thats why i became smuggler
But i must say, the best perk of being a smuggler is that this week I made 25 mil in faction base sales. Profit. Period.
Short list.
- Smuggler is great for roleplay.
- The skillpoint requirements allow me to hold 3 masters.
- I didn't have to grind the same type of xp for the whole tree.
- I only lose 1/2 the FP when I die.
- I can buy FP.
- I get FP discounts.
- I can slice my own stuff.
- I can make money in 4 different ways using 4 different branches of smuggler.
- Smuggler crafting is the easiest in the game.
- Resource quality doesn't matter.
- Only ranged KD with a pistol.
- Most powerful single pistol shot in the game.
- Only class with a move that prevents a DB.
- Able to open doors in POIs without a key (some doors anyway).
- Able to use melee and ranged moves equally well. (However, neither is extremely effective without other training).
- I can increase my mission payouts.
And most importantly....I give and get the Secret Smuggler's Handshake.
I love er....ah....FD
I love mmmmm.......FD
I love the thought of what a little smuggler love is gonna be like when we get it.
I love the thought of being a Smuggler in JTL
OH and did I say I love FD....oh yeah, I did.

- I love the scoundral persona. Nothin' like a slightly shady fellow to catch the wimminfolk's interest!
- I love the spice. I've only gotten buffed once in the last three weeks 'cuz I alwasy got my spice
- I love the fact that all my gear is above the manufacturers standards
- I love the ability to make googobs of cash in CNet.
- I love the fact that with master marksman, master pistoleer, and a couple of speed tapes, I'm useful on the battlefield. Plus, as an Imperial officer who was formerly a smuggler, it's great RP!
I used to "smuggle" stuff all the time in my early days as a scoundral. I'd find a cool loot item (like the fake lightsabers on dath) get a backpack full of it, and sell it to unsuspecting noobs for googobs of cash. The best was the fake holocrons... once the rumor came out that Jedi would use holocrons, I sold 'em like hotcakes for 10-20k a pop. Until the real holos came out and the Force shattered all my fake ones. I was always the king of obscure loot for my guild. It was all crappy stuff, but everyone wanted it, and I got a reputation for being able to get cool stuff for my crew. Like non-overt Imperial Greys. After I had a few crates of that stuff made, all my guildies were freakin' out about how I could put on my uniform without being overt. So, I told 'em I had a "special stash" and would hook 'em up. It was great!
