so why don't any females like Mad Max?
i have yet to find a single female who enjoys those movies.

i sat my lady down last night to watch the original Mad Max movie. and about a half hour into the movie she tells me she's not really interested in it, and she's gonna go browse the internet...

so what is it that makes females not like these movies? they seem like perfectly fine movies to me.

by the way... wouldn't the world of Mad Max (or a similar setting) make a really neat MMORPG?

they'd have pretty much free reign to put in any sort of content since there's not much in the way of continuity.
plus in those movies, people pretty much acted like they do in MMORPGs. mob mentality, ganking, cheating, all the worst aspects of human nature.

and the variety of weapons in a post-apocalyptic world could range from guns to swords to clubs.
/shrug.

If the guy who wrote the Fallout series ever gets the license back, you'll get your wish I think. Till then, play Fallout 1 and 2. NOT tactics.

What was wrong with Tactics? Anyway, Fallout is owned by Bethesda now, makers of Morrowind. Have you seen the screens of Oblivion yet, holy hell. I can't wait till they put that engine to use on a Fallout game.

One of the reasons I love my wife so much is she likes the Mad Max trilogy as much as I do.

Welcome to the New Galactic Empire, a very hidden organization that has managed to kill far more citizens and destroy far more communities than theImperial Navycould have ever dreamed of.....

You actually acknowledge the existence of Thunder Dome??? That's like a Highlander fan acknowledging the second movie. As far as I'm concerned, there was only one Highlander movie and only two in the Mad Max series.

ky: /bonk! are you kidding me? yooooooouuuuu've never seen any of the Mad Max movies???

dlc: Beyond Thunderdome wasn't that bad. sure it had a bigger budget than the first two. and sure it was a little wacky. but if you think about it, it's kinda similar to the Star Wars trilogy...

think about it. the first one is cool. low budget but with a simple solid story. ect.
the second had a larger budget, and was freakin awesome.
and the third was out of control and wacky, but wrapped things up nicely. just replace the big rubber slug with Tina Turner, and the living teddy bears with those creepy "lost boys" kids.

It's all about marketing really. For example, instead of telling your girlfriend that she should watch "Mad Max", you should have said that you stopped by the local Lackluster video and got a movie by the same guy who wrote"Babe". Who doesn't love "Babe"?

In retrospect, I think "Babe" was just a ploy to get us to love and respect pigs for the time in our future where we'd be dependent on them for renewable energy. That and little people with giant henchmen..

Hello, I must be going. I cannot stay, I came to say I must be going. I'm glad I came but just the same I must be going.

Yeah but that movies been in development hell so long I think they're either waiting for the actual apocalypse to film it, or that Mel won't be in it unless Aramaic becomes the spoken language of the post-apocalyptic Outback.

haha. speaking of weird mel gibson movies in dead languages. you know he's currently working on a movie set 500 years ago in Mexico, and the entire movie is in ancient Mayan (or Aztec) i forget which.

i know he's a nutcase, but these dead language movies are at least different from stuff you normally see.
