So Caylin, hate to keep a minor flesh wound open and bleeding, and I know TH is, or has been, on vacation, but what the fudge happened to the explaination we were supposed to get on the pub 7(?) change to spice downer recovery?

Oh! You beat me to it by 10 minutes! I was just about to post this myself...
So Caylin, with no more 19 Questions and sadly very little Dev communication at all (for anyone it seems, especially about Publish 10), would it be possible for you to just get permission to give us the answer you already have about the spice downer change, since they were supposed to tell us in the next Answer anyway?
EDIT: Time check.

I posted this question at the end of last week in a high response area for the c-forum.
I have not been cleared to give you this information still...
Sorry

Still not cleared. This is out of control, for crying out loud. They made a huge change that killed off what was left of the spice market, without warning or a damn explanation. We've been nice and patient far too long about this. Caylin, thanks for trying to get us the information, but its time we raised a big stink now. The lack of respect towards us in particular and the paying customer in general is appalling.
How long has it been? 3 months? Its time to get this answer known.

Pick your answer!
- We did it bymistake, but you can't tell them that because we don't like to admit mistakes!
- We really have no idea what the hell you're talking about.. Hayden must have been on the Vodka again and bullied one of the programmers to let him use his work station.
- We did it just to piss you off, mwaha!
- It was an effort to make Spice even more useless in order to make the chef foods even more appealing so that their revamp seemed even more cost effective.
- The monkey did it.
- This is a social experiment to see how far the human mind will take abuse in an online situation. On the offchance some of the community snap and go off on a raged fueld killing spree bender, we can't let anyone know this.
- What are spices?
- What's a smuggler?
- Yarr har-har.... YAR-harr-harr-harr-harr-harr...... Yarr...
- I know you are, you said you are, but what am I!?
- It fits the continuity so much more!
- The Jedi told us to....
- George mentioned he wanted this change done....
- We're really uncomfortable with having anything that could be misconstrude as illegal substances in real life, ie class A drugs, in the game.. so we've made them even more crap so that people will pay even less attention to them.
- Flibble-ibble-wibble-ibble.

OMG it is one of those!
I don't even have an emote in response to that, at least not one allowed in polite company (or on the forums as the case may be.

I'm fairly sure its that one, however, that begs the question, WHY THE HELL DID THEY PUT SPICES IN, IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
I'm still a follower of the"we shouldn't be making them, only transporting them" group.

I, for one, have always felt that their reluctance to answer means that they did it by mistake -- or rather, that we were collateral damage for a change to some other game mechanic(code) on which the spice downer relied. For some reason, they cannot "fix" it back to how it was without screwing something else up.
This in NO WAY excuses their stonewalling on an issue that drastically affected their user base. I remain stunned at their handling of this situation.
So, as you can deduce, my vote is for number one.
Lylak Moon, don't get me started!

I was thinking of posing the same question--great minds think alike.
The thing that bothers me about this is that it's been in the game for a long time already, and I honestly can't imagine a single reason why they wouldn't tell us. I'm trying to be more optimistic on the boards, but stuff like this makes it hard...
