Thread: JTL: Talus station sign of things to come?

Ok, so now I finally got my master pilot, I thought I'd go cruising in the YR, go places I hadn't been, doing things I hadn't done in space... looking for that extra content which seems sadly lacking now im Master.
So far, the best things i've seen were while at the space stations
Firstly, arguing with the Gungan at Rori station until he wont let me land... Butwhat has made this wookiees earsstickhas to be what I heard at Talus station.
I've heard some people have gone to the station only to not be able to understand the bothans running it, even though the have bothese comprehension... so I thought, OK... I'm a smuggler, I can speak to Jawas, I understand Lekku... lets see what he says to me.
After travelling to the station, I found, yeah, not only could I understand him, but I had a second option under "I want to land"...
"I want some work"
What followed was a short scripted conversation where I got to tell the Bothan I was a "delivery person" - of the "discrete kind", after going through the options the bothan said something along the lines of "We could definatley use your services, but not now".
Speaking to him a second time he told me to wait a couple of months.
Does anyone else think Greenmarine has been adding a few hooks for our Smuggler revamp while working on JTL?

They need to have more options to Smugglers allowing the profession to be roleplayed. That'd be a lot more interactive than the current profession jobs are.
Jabba faction should be a must.

Hmm Interesting.
I wonder, however,if any master privateer (and not just a ground-smuggler) gets to do this too?

I agree
As aSmugglers Alliance Ace/Smuggler, I'd like to know if other pilot professions/ground professions get this option. If anyone working Privateer gets it, thats just another laugh in the face of our prof, Allowing anyone to smuggle in space.

I can back that up, as a master smuggler/tier 2 pilot i've gotten that message "looking for some work" as well. I haven't tested it with other class combos yet however.

I remember hearing about this in JTL Beta. Yes, this is a smuggler mission. But it attracts people who will be happy to ruin the profession, in name of their uber rants. Secondly, it is also for pilots. Maybe I am weird, but I dont wanna pilot, especially if thats where all the smuggler missions are.

Before JTL, I saw very few Smugglers on my server. Since release, they are mutiplying like rabbits. Most of them stay in space which is fine with me. However A few of them can be seen hanging around Dravis or the starport, Spamming for slices. Last night I heard a smuggler spamming for slices, for only 1000 credits!!! They play the game to be uber pilots and since the ground base does not affect space, they just pick whatever profession seems fit, smuggler, not really doing anything at all for the community or concern of the proffession.

You need underworld1 to get the talus station's "i'm looking for work". I was able to try it in beta. It isnt bunded to any piloting profession either. Just last night i trained one of my guild mates who is going smuggler in it and he now gets that to show up. I think this was also said in another post awile ago.

Not to be a buzzkill Mentski, but this has been brought up about a dozen times over the last few weeks. These were put in by GM to template some future implementation. You must have Novice Smuggler to get the conversation, it has nothing to do with pilot affiliation, at least it didn't in beta. It is also not jsut Talus station that has this conversation, but all of the adventure planet zones.
Also for the record it is not a Bothan that runs Talus station, it is the Selonians...natives of the planet and one fo the 3 major races of the Corellian system next to Humans and Drall.
It is a good sign, and should be taken as such. And it is always nice to hear good news.

Aside from the race mixup, you say other adventure zones have this? which ones.... I cetainly haven't seen it., which space ports?
