While a lot of what they are doing is good and necessary, it really is a slap in the face when they break something, MONTHS ago, say they will fix it and then just ignore it.

A week or two back there was a 'red-flag' post in the c-forum asking for further information on the auto-pull issue. Wes gave them all they should have needed. So they have not forgotten in the least, it just seems they considered other things higher priorities. While ours is certainly an issue they said would be resolved... this patch is addressing a multitude of long-standing issues. I'm not trying to give them an 'a-ok' but the patch is still good, even though it doesn't seem to do anything for us.

hmmm, to be more accurate i would have said "even though it doesn't do anything for us", there is no seeming here Caylin, once again we were neglected, thrown far down the scale of priorities, which for an issue that wasn't supposed to go live a few months ago is something like "we don't care about that, who cares about smugglers anyway?", a bit like the downer thing, they just don't care, ar at least that's the impression they give.
While i perfectly understand that most of these issues were some long time asked from the other professions, i still feel the one left aside, of course they're repatching on jedis, but we got used to that, they are patching on IDs, who hd a revamp not so long ago, politicians get attention (that's the first time, and i know they deserve far more than that), DE are once again laughed at, and of course a full lot of fixing and balancing in jtl...wasn't the beta supposed to bring a full grown, bug-free game?
Well, of course there are good things on this patch, but once again it's all love for space, and some bones to none engaging professions, ID and politicians because anything they can change to us will not have an impact on the rest of the game. Thinking in this logical way, i fail to see how allowing the autopulling back would harm anyone, thus i fail to see why we are just once more ignored. Not only ignored on the patches, but also on the forums when we do ask for at least a comment. We are begging Tiggs with some communication, we are willing to give her more credit than TH got, but if nobody comes around to say a word, she will end with the same liar sticky on the head.

SMUGGLER HAS REMANDED UNCHANGED SENCE LAUNCH!!!!!!!!
Promisses have been made, broken, made, broken, made broken
When the rest of the comunity gets pissed off enough and stops slicing, or starts stealing items sliced, hehe if everyone does it things will get done. im not saying i would normaly do it, hehe "it can be fun to funk with someone about it" hehe
but if every one did it. having hundreds of reports coming in from the player base on mutiple servers would change some ideas.
or is my dream another pipe dream

I say 'seems' because of a couple things.
They are fixes to the game and what affects me and my play, could easily not affect the game of another.
For all we know they just forgot the patch note, has anyone checked yet? I'm not saying this to get your hopes up but I try to leave a margin of error within what I post. Sometimes the developers are the good kind of sneaky and as I told you they were asking for specific information regarding this issue a week or two back.
I don't need a lecture and I don't need to preach. We want love, we have outstanding issues and we are, whether many of you care to admit it or not... a *functional* profession. Whether we have content specific to us or control over our slices, at least it *works*. The crate issue is not keeping you from slicing if you have the will to pull it out manually.
That's how it was when I did my skilling up, that's the way it is once more. We have a long way to go and I still think we need the most love but I'm not going to be making more of this issue than it needs to be.

lets stop whining about this insignificant issue. ive made millions without auto pull. i was sad for about 2 seconds when we didnt have auto pull. easy to get over. i dont care if they ever fix it. im not affraid to do a little work. everyone wants their hand held in this game. it sickens me. get over it.
Where I find you languange a little insulting, I understand the message... No-Autopulling is at most an annoyance, even if it is one that could probly be fixedwith little effort, I have gotten around mostly by putting the crates in my toolbar.
If they can fix it quick fine, if not I'd say we should focus on an issue with a little more scope, like say... ANYof the other issues in the smuggler Issues Spreadsheet.
A little abrasive aren't we RandoQuin? Don't tell me your not a little cheesed at the fact we have seemingly been neglected, and that auto-pull was another kick in the head? You didn't get over it, you got used to it. Used to getting shafted.
However, good things are afoot. And the possible reason the crate issue has been stuck on the back burner is because they will nail it during the non-combat pass. I figure I've waited this long for the fix-to-end-all-fixes I can cruise a bit more.

The fact is not really aboutthe ability or not to slice, i do slice myself using the toolbar option, the fact is that once again they did lie to us. After the promise of this "fix" not going live, we had the one that it would be fixed back in a mini publish or hotfix... and well you know the rest.
Having something working doesn't mean it shouldn't be looked at, at least on a dev's point of view, if you consider the time reduction for ID, it's an arrangement of something already working. I can't see the point of just letting this issue loose. This one, the spice downer one... and everything else that is broken in the profession and is part of the issue list Wes submitted this week.

It's an annoyance that makes a game, that we play for fun, a bit less fun, so it's a bad thing by definition. Wanting a fix to remove an extrabit of pointless, tediouswork so we can do other things with our time isn't wanting our "hands held", it's plain rationality.
