Thread: don't we deserve just a single word ?

we've been told too much BS, all tricks to make us shu7 up, now enough is enough, JTL's out and we didn't get a single word on our revamp, I'm not calling to cancel my account, I love that game and all, JTL is great.
but here's what's now:
ship's component "slicing" (RE) - shipwrights
smuggler alliance faction - anyone
no faction ships - nothing for us to deal
JTL's out - no specific smuggler's content as we got promised
do they want to remove our profession all the way out ? or maybe they're coding a new jedi revamp ?
I already know what kind of answer we'll be getting soon and here it is:
"you know guys, we really want to do this well, and we think smuggler is a very important combat profession, why don't you guys just wait for the combat upgrade and then you'll get some love, we really apologize about the disappointement but we decided to push the smuggler revamp for the best so it won't be out til combat upgrade patch, we sincerely hope you guys understand we do it for the best of your community blah blah blah blah blah..."
what's the point being a smuggler ?
no specific content, even on the way
being in SOE's team /addignore list on the boards
being called a "thief" when charging 10k/slice
getting useless skill tree
I'm still in for the glory of our title, and that's it.

yep..its shame
One of my friend told me yesterday
Han Solo was a master smuggler, pistoleer, shipwright, masterpilot and he was able to use carbine as well (maybe he used the prenerf Nym's one) and he surely cheated coz thats way to much for 250 sp.

as said in my post, I love SWG, SOE guys are doing a GREAT work, xcept for that thing.
and I'm not a found of orcs and wizards and such, so no wow for me, I'm not going to move from SWG cause I still have fun in it. it's just that it's becoming to be long since we didn't have a word about our revamp and we got promised that we'd get something with JTL (it was even some point where smuglers were being considered as a "re-new" exclusive JTL profession, and we would have needed to buy the expansion to keep playing smuggler).
but aside of the whole lying thing, I still love the game, and don't want to move for some wizard/orc/humans/dragons or whatsoever other mmorpg.

I think we'll get our love, in the meantime, Smuggler still is the coolest profession, and that's not a bad thing...keeps me happy.

Didn't you hear? The Smuggler 'vamp is already done and available in the profile menu here on the boards. Something about a pirate logo. 
The longer I stay a smuggler, the more I realize that there isn't likely to be much of a revamp. Maybe a spice or two and travel missions, but they're still working on basic systems that affect everyone (combat, loot, GCW, JTL content). Dedicating their best resources (GM) to us (a minority) for any length of time will just upset the larger playerbase. A huge cost to them for minimal reward.
So basically, if you're not happy with smuggler, take off and find something you enjoy.

LOL, that's hilarious. I'm not fond of orcs or magicians either, so my guns stay here at SWG.
I was in chemistry lab today doing a complex experiment and for some reason, all the great times i had playing SWG came to mind. I remember being a n00blet and making other n00b friends where we would wander Tatooine trying not to die. I remember great business deals with weaponsmiths and armorsmiths who taught me the ropes of economics in SWG. I remember all the women (or shims) I hit on at the Anchorhead tavern while drunk IRL. All the friends and all the battle buds. It really has been a large part of my life sentimentally.
This game and the new Star Wars movies that came and are coming out actually saved my life. Back in 2001 I learned about this game and I lived in the GAT and other forums giving great ideas. My life was going horribly to say the least. I had a severe nervous breakdown and was living homeless while trying to go to college. I've been through alot since then, each day my life getting better. I'm back in school and finishing my degree. I got a decent computer last october and bought SWG and while the new Star Wars movies aren't all what people expect and while SWG isn't what everyone expected, they gave me one little excuse to move on and I'm glad for it.
Some of my guildmates really eye WOW, and it kinda makes me sad that they will abandon this game because the ground aspect stayed broken and unfruitful for so long - especially the PvP. Makes me sad.
Anyways, I love this game and all who I have interacted with and can only pray I don't lose heart. I'm one to be pretty forgiving about aspects of a game too, and while SWG has been a beautiful world to live in, it didn't always work. You can always fix that, and that is what I'm waiting for.

if you guys (and me...) think you are being ignored, think about this, Lucky for us (the smugglers) we get a correspondent, and we get someone who can actually almost get across what teh board wants for the future, wheras the poor FS people (me included) get nothing, no Devs, no Correspondent, nothing. Not only that, but stuff doesnt work, and there are bugs, but guess what? they dont care...but you know, i think they might think that its fine, and the system works, and that they *dont* need a revamp anytime soon, because tehre are more pressing matters(FS is broken, trust me on this one) to attend to. one of these days, it will be fixed...i hope its before the next expansion...maybe we can smuggle by then...but maybe thats hoping for to much

We got our 'word'. I clearly remember Tiggs dropping by to say "hi"...then disappearing never to return.
I still want our 'Master Smuggler' title changed to 'Master Masochist'.
