Thread: Still nobody found out where to get Finely Crafted Tookits??
Probably why they're going for 100k on the black market. ![]()
*coughs* let armor/weapon smiths craft them *coughs*
Sounds like a great schematic for Master Smuggler, if you ask me!
Crafters can make all of their own components.. *and* SWs can make their own RE kits! I'll accept putting our kits into other professions when Weaponsmiths start having to buy barrels and power-handlers from Chefs. ![]()

Yeah, I really like little bits of crafting mixed in with my professions. Since simple/finely crafted toolkits are the most basic component needed for a slice it seems logical that a slicer would eventually use enough to learn to craft these on his/her own. However, with devs putting in a hotfix to salvage all auk/wuk crated kits instead of just the last....I have a feeling there'll be a barage of simple/finely toolkits to hit the market.I'd still like the ability to make them at the master smugger lvl.
IT will be nice to get started since everyone wants everything sliced now to be able to salvage our old components. But I agree we should some how be able to learn how to craft these items we will need. There are so mayn things to slice in the game having just looted components to slice with will only raise the cost of guns & armor. Of course the smugglers can charge more per slice and maybe won't have to do hours of endless slicing but really I do not think we come out ahead over all. PLease let us craft them.
I've got an alt crafter and I generally run around the house clearing all spawns so he doesn't get killed while trying to calculate my resource numbers, this is on tattoine by the way. Killed tons of stuff since the publish ,as there always seems to be some kind of humanoid sitting by the factory. Anyways, I always glance in the loot window never really expecting anything out of lvl 1-25 npcs and loe and behold yesterday there sits a finely crafted toolkit. It was on an Trandosian slavemaster, even had a slave next to him. Tried running around just killing npcs in the towns but haven't managed to get anything else of value. Had to laugh because I haven't found a simple toolkit after running all over Lok. Can't even use it until I finish that first slice. ![]()
Haven't decided if I just got lucky and it is super random or what. Certainly can't be a level thing because, if memory serves, he was about 10 or so.
I would support the whole loot thing if the result from using an "uber" loot drop actually resulted in an "uber" slice.
As it is, weapon slicing is woefully nerfed. So just to get to what was once considered a crappy slice, we need uber loot. Sure, it's guaranteed to work and you know exactly what you get, but honestly the new slices are crap. So fine, make us hunt for ultra rare loot - make us fight with loot whores and farmers to get it. But at least make the resulting slice worth it. 20% damage with uber loot slice! is that too much to ask for?
Also, has anyone bothered to tell the devs that under their new combat system, weapon speed means pretty much nothing? Maybe they could have used their time more wisely (like doing some QA on the publish) if they had just realized that putting a speed slice in the gamenow is meaningless.
Replacing the silly speed slice with something useful like a decay reduction factor would have made more sense. I rather like their armor slice ideas, too bad they still don't get it when it comes to weapons.

They're called Finely Crafted Toolkits, after all.

If you're referring to smugglers not being Crafters, theyhave the ability to craft various spices.
Why notextend their minorcrafting skills to include a basic slicing component they use with great frequency?
