I'm sorry. Our day has not come until this is coded, tested, and live. We've had In Concept documents before, we're no closer than we were then...

I've been around longer than most of you guys, and I've got to admit the changes they are talking about today are exciting. However this is SWG and I know better than to bet the farm on changes that are "subject to changes" and therein know to treat all of the hubub in complete neutrality. That said, the fact that they've recognized the problems in our broken profession is a hopeful notion. A notion one can only hope will be met with deliverance.

Can't argue with that. I can personally produce at least one such document a day, and most of the people on the Smuggler forums have been doing exactly that since launch.

I do have to agree with you all as well.
but....
From where I'm standing, something is better than nothing. And if they only keep 1/2 of what they stated here today. It opens up new levels of game play as well as an awesome RP enviroment
I lost faith in this DEV team long ago as most of you have, but this opens my eyes to the posibilities of the future.

Yeah, I dunno, I'm pretty excited.
I'm not about to forget our history, but this is significant. I had resolved to quit if we didn't see something like this in a few months, so if it doesn't pan out.. /shrug. I'd be out of here anyway.
Posting all that info is a commitment and I'm going to give them this last chance to live up to it. I have to think the amount of noise and support we've been making and getting lately will help the devs to realize the sort of changes they've outlined would be of massive benefit to a huge number of the players of this game.

And something to keep in mind. Following all the accusation of lying and all, the Devs have opted since a while for a strict "we don't talk about what is not being worked on or next" rule.
And they have been holding on to that. So that they gave us that much now is a very good sign.

That's what I'm sayin'. They don't come out with this stuff till it's a lot more polished than it used to be.
