So pistoleer is going to be an control attacker and Smuggler will be a mezzer, that suits me
Rifleman Commando sounds a nice combo as well, still unsure on Tig

I like this line: "Smugglers abilities combine well with many other profession abilities and will be vital in dealing with high end group content."
Edit: here is the whole smuggler desc:
Smuggler
Primary Role: Crowd Control Specialist
Secondary Role: Medium Range Damage Dealer
Offense: Moderate (3)
Defense: Minimal (1)
Crowd Control: Very Strong (5)
All's fair in love and war is the motto most Smugglers live by. Smugglers use what is generally perceived as dirty fighting to keep their targets off balance while they defeat them. Smugglers have very low defensive ability and only moderate offensive ability, but when combined with their unique fighting style they can comfortably hold their own.
Smugglers are the dominant Crowd Control profession. Smugglers will be receiving a whole new line of abilities that allow them to temporarily remove an enemy combat threat so that it can be dealt with at a later time. Smugglers abilities combine well with many other profession abilities and will be vital in dealing with high end group content.

I can see why, that is a very likable line.

What exactly is a mezzer?
It's an eq term for the wizzard profession that controls agro. You place deley's and roots on a number of targets so your group can attack one. It should alos have a couple of de-buffs that sofen the target up for the damage dealers in your group. Basicly without a mezzer you can get into trouble if your attacking mobs with more than 2 agros.

so first we get to have skills that make us more effect in the middle of a large crowd instead of either avoiding crowds, blending into crowds or at a last resort getting our butts away
and then they name or "class" after some magic crap?
/walks away and gets some beer

I see it more as us locking down an opponent so someone else can kill them or we can get away.

I'm super pumped just reading that. Groups will NEED a smuggler for high end content

I'm thinkin' it'll come down to two possibilities.
Smuggler/Commando - my original idea. That gives an offence total of 8, a defense of only 4, and crowd control of 6. That will give the stun-stall-knockdown from smuggler followed by some serious stomping with the commando skills.
Now I'm also thinking seriously of:
Smuggler/TKA - Offense of 6, Defense of 6, Crowd control of 6 -- the well-rounded combo.
Can't wait to get on the TC to start playing!
