Make a macro named Handshake
/mood discreat;
/emote gives %NT the secret smuggler handshake;
/nod;
/mood none;
Now put it in your toolbar and every time you run into another smuggler hit.
P.S No I didn't make this up but I ran into another smuggler in coronet today, gave the handshake and all they did was /emote respond in kind; 
So thought some of you new smugglers might find an intrest in this

It has been around for a long, long time but it's great to see people still posting on it as many new smugglers may not know the macro. Nice work 5 stars for you.It would be great to see more smugglers use this again (hint, hint).

/nod? There is a handshakeemote that actually shows you reaching out and shaking their hand. I have it in my macro, and it makes a whole lot more sense than standing there nodding. Kinda hard to do a handshake nodding your head with your hands at your side.The mood addition is nice tho..I think I'll add thatpart to my macro. For sure a macro that all smugglers should use!

LOL - Well...I'm the guilty party...
Didn't know we had a secret smuggler handshake until just now.
But, you can rest assured that it's on my toolbar now :0)

The smuggler handshake I made is as such...
/alias smug /mood discreat;/emote gives %NT the secret Smuggler Handshake;/pause .5;/tiphat;/mood none
So instead of having to worry about hitting a macro, I just type /smug when clicked on target smuggler and the alias does the macro for me.
You can also make said macro and then make an alias to the macro
/alias smug /macro Handshake

This is a great idea. I didn't know about it even back in march when i first mastered smuggler. Glad to see theres' such a thing.

not secret anyways as everyoone can see the emote they just don't see what we do in that secret handshake

Fixed. if you do /mood discreat it tells you there is no mood named that. It's discreet. And I find that I need a pause before the /mood none or else my mood goes from discreet to none before I even give the handshake.

I used to do this but only with other Smugglers. Since the Smuggler population on Chimera dropped to around 5 people though I dont use it anymore
