Hi there,

I trying to get my head around this, so when I master smuggler I can start doing it, I was wondering if a way to also make the credits would be to buy the faction for myself and get things like bases etc and sell them instead or aswell as faction. I dont know what these bases cost etc.

I'm a totally noob to this so I could be totally wrong..............be gentle lol

You won't be able to buy enough faction for a base unless you have a partner who can bank the faction for you.

Ok...i just hit Col in the imperial army thanks to another Smuggler . I'm looking to see if anyone has reliable way to keep track of how much has been bought and such. If you can help me out i'd appreciate it much.

The simple way to do it is to calculate the total cost to you for delegating faction points to your customer. For example, say your customer wants to purchase 10k FP, the cost of delegation you will be:

10000 FP * 1.18delegation ratio= 11800

11800/125 amoutn of FP you can purchase from recruiter = 94.4

94.4 * 10000 credits = 944000 credits

Now, just go to a bank and make sure that the total bank balance is 944,000 credits. Then just start the delegation macro and oncethe balance reaches 0 or just a few credits away from zero, stop the macro. Your customer will have received the 10k FP at that point

I just finished up underworld IV and mastered smuggler a couple of weeks ago and hadnt given any thought to selling faction until this week when numerous people have come up to me asking for me to sell them faction.

I read the faq at the top of the message board but was still a bit confused on the process....I didnt really understand how much faction was lost when transfering the points. I'm aleuitenent in the imperial army and didnt quite understand (maybe I'm not so good at math ) how much faction would be lost in the transaction.

Any help would be great and also how much faction sells for these days so I can make a nice profit.

it says:

First Lieutenant = 5,000 = 50,500 = 1.54:1 (Costs 154 to send 100)

so does that mean you lose 54 points or 154 points when transfering

For every 154 points of faction you try to transfer, the receiving party will only receive 100. You lose 154 faction, your customer/friend receives 100, and 54 faction disappears into thin air.

Good info. So am I mistaken that smugglers can also buy FP from a recruiter? I swear I read that somewhere.

actually, when you transfer 100 FP ... you lose 154 ... if you transfer 154, you would lose more.

I havesome questions with selling faction.

What skills of smuggler do you need?

and, i heard that a colonel rank can buy faction? and then sell it? which is what they do, right?

but, what if i just sell faction taht i earned through missions etc, can that work or is it different?

i ask becuase i found a place on my server with 7 rebel bases andnot a single rebel pc in sight. i spent4 hours there today, gained 9k of faction and found a handful of adhesives and other interesting loot. that 9k i can sell for 1 million credits or soas i understand faction goes around 100 creds/point or something.

will this work for me, if i pick up the required smuggler skills?
