Personally, I've been very happy with MS/MBH/0400 Pistoleer.

I used to have the 0004 line in pistols but since concussion shot changed I've been learning to live without the root. Burstshot is definitely cool and all that ranged accuracy helps too.

I took my 3 remaining points and put them into FS Ranged Accuracy as well.

if you move the pop-up off the side of the screen, that damn thing will never bother you while you are playing, its the easiest way

Well by dropping MP, and getting MBH, I get Advanced Critical...to mak eup for the smugler debuffing reckless shot that I dont use...and although I lose 10 to general ranged speed by droping MP,I regain 14+ by taking up MBH.

And I get the Duelest stance.......for more protection...

My template is master smuggler/master pistols with rifle's 4000 and commando 0300

All i can say is this is the best template ive used so far and has a lot of very good number of tactics to use against most templates unfortunately the lack of healing is a problem but with ruby bile you should be able to do ok for healing and using panic shot when you need to rest up is not a bad tactic.

Another good thing about this template is when your opponent is getting low on health i decide to use concussion shot while i go out 20m go prone and i sniper shot for the incap.

Another useful ability is the ability to use AoE weapons, my favourite is still the launcher pistol, these are purely for use as an opener to daze the room while you focus on one person (im not sure how the recent changes have effected these changes).

All I can say that panic shot is so much funnier when you use underhanded shot to putt hem on their back first, and they start screaming (ack! I'm bugged, I'm lagging, I can't get up!)

SO very true!

Just a related note, people will automaticly stand up after 30 seconds. Delayed, dazed, afk or not.

I say give it a try. I love MBH/MSmuggler due to the extra punch it packs in my Smuggler template. If you find it isn´t to your liking, you can drop BH anytime. It will be way easier to regrind MPistoleer then to grind to MBH. Think of all the investigation XP it normally takes. Respec is yourbest friendhere. And yes, the pop-up annoys me to no end.
