Really a valid question. Not that slicing concerns me. I make my credits elsewhere. I personally find the numbers too small to be of any use. Sorta like doctor buffs. I can slap a pup on a weapon for much less and get much greater results for cheaper. Sorta like I can stack a few food buffs, pop a booster blue, and get better results than doc buffs.

To be honest, I'm not one of those whining and moaning over things that I can't change. Know what? You can't change them either, no matter how much you cry. Know why? Because you, like everyone else, has a myopic view of the game that consists of "GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME! Make me better! Make me cooler! Me Me ME!"

Guess what, you worthless brat? The entire game doesn't revolve around smugglers and it sure as h3ll doesn't revolve around you. There is more to consider than whether you personally approve of the slicing system or if the specials make you uber enough.

So... if you hate how this changed, then quit. Go away. It isn't changing back and more than the CU went away, and more people cried louder than you over that one. No one, least of all the developers, are going to listen to you and they certainly aren't going to take you seriously. You're the only one who does that.

to be a little more constructive on this. If anyone bothered to look. Some of the slicing points have now moved up into the master smuggler box. So unless your a master smuggler you cant possibly slice anything the full 100 percent. Granted this is only possible in certain combinations to begin with. But still. It's a whole +25 weapon and armor slicing points out of a 100 point total.

You cannot modify a weapon to 100% customization unless you are a master smuggler.

To be honest I don't like this slicing system either...but then I lost any enjoyment in slicing LONG ago and this hasn't revived it in the least. I've given it a chance. I converted tons of kits and even got a few high level components which I promptly used on my own weapons. I now have every nook and crany in every compartment filled with the silly things and try as I might I can't find anyone that wants me to use them to slice their weapons. Over the past few days I've spend about 6 hours doint the same thing I USED to do that kept me continually busy slicing...stand around starports with my MS title up. So far only one person has sought me out for slicing and they weren't even serious when they found out it was going to be more than 5k for a full slice.

About the only thing I hope for for this slicing systems is having the components stack so I can go back to collecting art.

But you both are right, the devs aren't going to listen to him nor take him seriously. But then DLC and Digi, they aren't going to listen to the two of you or any of us nor take ANY of us any more seriously than they have for the past two years. Proof is that they put up In Concept documents, let us discuss them for 5 months then took both down and gave us something totally different without as much as a by your leave.

It's all fine and dandy that YOU are happy with whatever slop they dish out but since the rest of us pay for this product we have the right to give them customer feedback in whatever way we wish, or quit...whichever suits OUR fancy.
