Well, I'm going to take an extended break and come back once JTL is released, then maybe fade away again and return in time for the revamp. That's what I'll base my account on.

I'm not cancelling in the vain hope that I won't be deleted, it's only a few bucks every few months, and I'll be logging in to pay upkeep on my house and run onle enough missions to pay all the bills.

This forum will be just about my only SWG content

Otherwise I'll be playing City of Heroes. Various characters on various servers. Drop me a line if you're on the Valiant server (current fave).

Oh, and good on you for getting back in Dreven. You've been out a while but it does have a certain draw.

It's pretty fun if you like wearing spandex and fighting all day. It gets repetitive quick, as all you do is fight, but it does combat really well. I had quite a bit of fun... till all my friends left to go back to DAoC andRvR expansion...

mmmmmm spandex....

I think I will give it a try- but I can only pay to play one game a month and we know what that means.

Oh yeah, and it's ALL PvE too isn't it?

Till their CoV expansion... purely PvE combat. No crafting and such for now, and items are mostly enhancements... you get those easily enough as well, so there is no big item competition going on either. You either fight, or talk... or maybe both. Have fun I still miss my Katana/regen scrapper, but after a few changes and budget concerns like yours above... I decided to stay here

Character design is the hardest part. I went through 5 last night before creating one I liked and now I'm deleting that one tonight to recreate him and tweak a bit more. It's such fun

Multiple characters per server.

Spandex... I mean nearly limitless costume designs.

Cheesey warcries.

Friends I know that already are playing and wanna hang and beat up baddies.

A reason to keep levelling... more power. Not 250 points down and nothing to do.

Not waiting for a Profession Revamp

Those are just some quick reasons to at least give it a shot. It comes with 1 month playtime so it's easy to give it a shot and see if you like it.

I'll be around. I need to read/chat at work so this board's never going far from my favourites.

I gave CoH a shot for the free month, but never did get comfortable with it. It just felt different, and I missed the SWG interface...if there's one thing I can say SOE did right with SWG, it's the UI. You are seriously spoiled after using the SWG UI and then going to another game.

I'm currently in Lineage 2, and also missing the SWG UI there, but it's a little more intuitive than the CoH UI. I'll probably dump L2 before too much longer and give EQ2 a try when it hits.

Looks like I'm destined for a life of game hopping...

This is very true. The SWG interface, particularly the chat interface, is without a doubt the best I've experienced. I never did get used to COH's chat.

Absolutely. Gotta give SOE/Lucas Arts credit for the GUI. I find a lot of similarities but it's just... off somehow.

anyone that wants to drop smuggler I highly recommend you consider just switching over to a bountyhunter for a while... Keep your pistol skills, pickup investigation 3 and some melee and make a run for some jedi.

The sad part is, I really don't want anything to do with Jedi or the bounty hunter skill set. For once, I'd like to play an involving Starwars game, with someroleplaying base, that doesn't rely on Jedi to bring about the star wars atmosphere. I love the Jedi Knight games, but I'd really like it to feel like starwars and not see one lightsaber... unless Vader wants my head mounted on his wall.

I love hating bounty hunters too much, to become one of them.

I hear ya. I was once trying to get a D20 SW game going, and all I heard was Old Republic or New Republic setting. No one wanted the Rebellion Era because there were no Jedi.

I blame the new movies. They're a bit too Jedi centric (they're suppose to be, but...), and all the recurring characters intro'd into the new movies are Jedi. Unless you count Jar Jar.

You don't have loveable scoundrels like Han and Lando.

Bah, petition George Lucas for a new Star Wars PC game. Star Wars: Smuggler! J/K
