So I come back from vacation and check the boards. I see there's finally a Smuggler Icon! Wait, that's not a Smuggler icon, that's a Pirate icon. Oh well, it'll have to do, at least they made one. *sigh

Hmmm. I think some sort of credit/pistol combination would have worked, but they gave the Credits to the Merchant and the Pistol to the Pistoleers, so I guess that would have confused some people. Still, I can see people looking at the forums for the first time and saying, "Ohh! I wanna play a pirate!", finding out that's a Smuggler icon, and you see where it goes from there.

Just crossed my mind that maybe they gave us a Pirate icon to subtly and subconsciously change our views of Smugglers in SWG so they don't have to put Smuggling in.

Personally, I woulda prefered two guns crossed pistola style, with a credit symbol(like a 7 with two horizontal lines on it) sitting above the intersection, but this is good too.

Plus, in a way of looking at it, pirates and smugglers are very similar, one takes your stuff from you, the other takes your stuff for you. j/k

Actually, it makes me think of Lando's line: "How ya been ya old pirate?!"
