Thread: Slicing: Should I wait?

My last three weapons I've bought have proceeded to receive a two percent, and two one percent slices...Pretty shoddy if you ask me...I just bought a fairly expensive weapon, but am wondering, is slicing broken at the moment? Should I wait to have this sliced? or is my luck just that bad?

yes it is very bugged and yes you should wait

I'd personally wait to slice anything I bought for more than, say, 100k.

The slicing part of the "Revamp" is supposedly coming really soon, and this should fix a lot of the current slicing issues.

Smuggler Revamp has been "coming soon" for years now. Heck, GreenMarine hasn't even visited the forums in months, much less posted anything to them. Till it's live, and been hotfixed, twice, I won't hold my breath for any Smuggler love at all.

Part one of our revamp (slicing) "should" hit with in the next 2 patches (and yes I have that info on good authority).


I just got a bad ass krayted renegade and will be waiting to slice it, you should wait as well.

Yeh, as said, the new slicing system is supposedly on its way soon, so I'd certainly wait.

Pretty new to the game, haven't seen many patches, about how often do they implement patches or is it just kind of a here and there type a thing?

I just bought a new set of armor and realized I've not sliced any armor since CU, is Armor Slicing messed up as well?

Mind sharing its specs or a screenshot? I would just like to see whats out there and compare to my current..

I sliced a faction helmet, and it took till the next day to show the new sliced stats. I may have been lucky it showed at all so I'd recomend waiting

Ok without going in game and from memory:


899 max damage unsliced, no power up (he had one for 922 max but it was 1.5 mil, 80k was all I would spend) DSP with my skill set was like 525ish, speed with my bonus was like 1.7ish. Something like that....
