LodekDallwill be our new correspondent helping us work through issues with the Smuggler Profession. He'll be representing your issues to myself and the developers. He’ll come in over the next day or so and post a welcome. With the Smuggler revamp coming up, there will be a lot to talk about.fficeffice" />

(On another note, please have some patience as I will stop in and answer any questions you have (along with the top 10), but currently, Im under a crunch and will be out of town next week).

Grats Lodekdall

If you could address the state of the profession and the top 10 questions, that would be great TH.

Nothing against Lodekdall or anything,

I just wish the official announcement so some of us could send in our already made applications in would have been nice.

Why do I get the impression he just took the silence as a chance to show some initiative, didn't wait for the form TH typically posts, and put in his application with no competition.

Thats what it seems like to me, cause goodness knows I never see the guy post here much.

Welcome, Lodek!

I'm still busy reading through some of your recent posts, but this one sticks out, and I think it's a good idea:

Another thing ... related to the new smuggler correspondent. As the correspondent is essentially our voice to the developers, I think it'd take a lot of heat off of the new guy if the new guy appoints a series of assistant correspondents. They'd be unofficial in SOE's eyes, but it would help break up the work of the correspondent. Perhaps have an assistant correspondent responsible for a given skill tree? Have DF Assistant, Underworld Assistant, Slicing Assistant and Spice Assistant.

Just a thought ... it would help to break up the problems and be able to focus on tree-specific issues, rather than just all-in-one posts on the correspondent forum that might get lost in the shuffle.

Here's to creating a bureaucracy ... um ... sort of.

I worked as an unofficial assistant to another correspondent, and I think it's a great idea, especially for "big picture" posts like a "state of the profession" or a compiled "top ten questions." The proofreading help alone is invaluable, and getting a few people to poke holes in your arguments in advance will help you reinforce them and save you trouble in the long run.

Anyway, welcome, Lodek!
