Thread: I've had enough!

Thats it, the new "19 ways we can say bend over and take it up the ass while we tell you there is a combat balence coming" has pushed me over the edge. I cancelled my account. Maybe I'll come back later, but this is just rediculous. They have strung us along for much to long. As it stands we aren't scheduled for a revamp till Christmas, and by then they will be so busy with JTL fixes (because it seems impossible that they can actually make something work remotely like it is suppose to within a year of it being released) that we will be pushed well into 2005. I'm sick of waiting and hearing "We'll get to it, but we have too much on our plates right now to discuss it" They only have too much on their plates because they don't do anything to fix the problems so work just piles up and they get scared, so they hide behind JTL and the combat balence. What a bunch of crap. I'll play till the 20th when my account expires, but I'm gonna be kickin and screaming the whole time. I know the Dev's hardly care if one person drops their account, but I've read about enough people doing it now that maybe we will get their attention. If not, fine by me, they will just drive what could be an amazing game into the ground until they have to shut it down due to lack of funds.

Oh yeah, smugglers rule!!! Even if our profession is busted, along with pistoleer, CH, BE and ranger. Oh wait, those are only professions I've played, maybe I just chose poorly, or maybe all of the professions are busted and they refuse to fix anything because they want to add more broken stuff to the game first.

And hey, if you are putting your account on hold, say so in this post, I'd like to see how many people they are driving away.

hehehe, I sent a message to TH telling him to check out the Smuggler forums. I said that because of the way the Dev's have treated us a large group of people have already cancelled or are in the process of it. Wonder if he will actually come look.....

I must admit, I'm not too happy to hear that once again the Smugglers are getting the shaft. Publish 11 was bad enough, but now it's after JtL? That's insane. Smugglers play a large role in Star Wars, and it needs to be fixed pronto.
But nonetheless this isn't enough to make my cancle my account or quit being a Smuggler. As much as I'm really starting to hate slicing, I do enjoy Smuggler (I like being "illegal" ) and I do still enjoy SWG.

I'm not even a smuggler and this kind of news ticks me off. You guys have been promised time and time again that there will be a revamp to the smuggler profression and that things would change for you. I can still find dev posts dating back over 7 months promising great changes in the near future. One or two delays I could understand...but this is getting rediculous.

Nearly every profession in the game is suffering right now, but somehow the great jedi revamp seems to be quite on schedule and getting massive amounts of dev attention and resources devoted to it. Even Rifleman and Swordsman have seen some nice changes and additions to the profession through fixed specials and new weapons added. Why is it that everyone in the game seems to suffer from one gamebreaking bug or another yet certain profressions only get better every month?

I wouldn't be surprised if over half of the smuggler population either dropd the profession or quits the game entirely after reading news like this.

Thunder person dosent give a rip about smugglers and neither does anyone else, except us. I think if every smuggler, master ,or dabbler just up and quit the gameall at once ,from every server, and left not a single one in the game,an eyebrow might be raised. But I doubt that even. Smugglers are the red headed step children of SOE,and jedi are the favorite. Their market research has proved that 9 out of 10 players poled would rather play a jedi than a smuggler. You could hit everyone in the dev team in the head with a brick that said "fix smuggler you goofy,pasty,@ss hat!" and they would go "Huh? Must fix jedi, must drink dew)

Sorry if that sounds a bit on the odd side but thats what it feels like to me.

I'm willing to tough it out untill after JtL. I guess I have to much faith in what this game could be, I just can't bring myself to hit that "cancel" button.

Going to WoW.

This game blows.

Just a thought.

Maybe we are barking up the wrong tree.

Sony liscense Starwars name from Lucas Art. Right? Maybe if we contacted LucasArt with the way that Sony is using their product and treating fans of Starwars etc... Maybe, LucasArt putting pressure on Sony may get things moving a bit faster. Any thoughts on this?

I thought about the same thing, though I'm sure it's been bounced around in here previously. We all know Lucas is very protective about his product (well, if you skip that episode 1 crap) and if he knew just how badly SOE is screwing up it up, I'm sure he'd kick the hell outta them. And he doesn't NEED our money.

Guess you never heard of a game called Bounty Hunter. Quite possible the worst game ever...except E.T. for the Atari 2600. Don't bother they don't care as long as they get your money.

The saddest part about this game is that it COULD be frickin great. There was so much potential during launch, so many things to do. The wasted potential of this game is even more depressing than us being continually tossed aside.
