Thread: Top grade slicing hard to come by?

I'm not a smuggler but have read up on the new process for it. What I don't quite get is why I'm finding it so hard to find a Slicer or Master Smuggler with the required look to slice. Everyone I ask on Starsider says they don't have the higher level stuff required.
Why is this? What is it that's required and why is it hard for them to get?
In the future, are sliced weapons and armor at the 3rd level going to be pretty rare? I don't consider that bad...just wondering what the new reality is.

The drop rates are pretty low for all the loot, the only reason you can even get low level loot slices is due to people stockpiling and converting upgrade kits.

So everyone having weapons sliced is kinda a thing of the past...sounds like. Now going to be the exception and not the rule. Yes?

Which I kinda like actually... I'm one of the few with a fully speed sliced Faalan Hyper Rifle. Slap on an Anti Decay kit and use powerups with impunity baby!
Very few people have it so good... and I like that fact.

I have been able to find them. Though they aren't cheap. Hence why I only put up to level 2 slices on any clients I have. The freaking ICBs cost 1.5 mil on my server and frankly, my bank account dosent like this, but hey, 'least those with creds can get the slices. As it should be.

What is the "required look"? (or loot?)
I have most items for slicing weapons I missing "Delicate Trigger Assembly" (needed for level 4 speed slice and the level 3 critical shot chance) and a very limited number of "Illegal Core Boosters" needed for level 3 damage slices.
The only item i'm missing for slicing armor is "Mandalorian Intraframe" level 3 slice for the 3% asbortion (3% chance for 50% damage reduction)
I sliced my armor for the 60% decay reduction so it would last longer (you can only do clone armor quest once)
And most the items I have for slicing are on my vendors.

Heh... on ahazi ICBs go for 2-4 mill. And with a 30% profit, it can be a good deal to slice full damage slices

I was able to get a boat load of Mandalorian Intraframe and Delicate Assembly's From hunting Krpyt Dragons on tattione

Is it just on my server or are trandoshan frames harder to find than mando? I somehow ended up with 3 mando before I could get a hold of tran. Same thing with the delecate triggers and finley craffter toolkit. Perhaps it just means people love krayt hunting. What drops the ffinley crafted toolkit?

I am having the most luck with Nightsisters. They dont take as long as krayt to kill Nightsister Rangers even drop the good stuff and are not hard to kill.

Agreed, a sliced weapn should be an infrequent and wonderful thing. Although finding illegal core boosters on Krayt Dragons has got to be stopped..

ok where are you guys getting the lower level slice kits, forgot what they are called, tool kits maybe, and transdosh frames, can anyone list what drops what slice component, that would be a great help
