Is there a market for the dead eye spice? possible to high end pvp'rs? I want to make some, but the requirement of an alderaanean flora makes the process expensive, and i dont want to do it without a market to sell to. I also assume it cant be made in a factory as it uses looted items?
Can anyone tell me how to get the alderannean flora? Ive seen them on a few vendors in small quantities.
Thanks

How does one get the schematic again?
You can purchase it as faction perk from the rebs.

Ive never actually crafted one as i dont have any of the flora. If you have crafted them before then is it actually a good quality spice?
I got the schematic for 450 fp from a rebel faction recruiter. Its a 10 use schematic. Going by this i reckong the cost to produce one is about:
450 * 125 cr/fp = 56250 (that about the going rate i see for fp at the moment)
10 * flora (10k each) = 100k (the rare times ive seen them on vendors thats about the right price)
Other materials = 3750 (rough estimate)
= approx 160k for 10 spices (please correct figures if im wrong)
To make any sort of decent profit for our time these would have to sell for a total of around 300k, so we are talking 30k for single spice. Compared to muon gold (most popular) which goes for about 5k for a factory crate this is _very_ expensive. Has anyone who has ever actually crafted it actually found any demand? Rare items tend to be a good money maker in any mmorg, and as far as im aware this is the only rare item we have available.
As its an accuracy modifer, i thought it might prove very popular to the PvP community in order to help combat the defense stacked fencer templates, and if there is a reliable source of flora a very lucrative opportunity to smugglers, seeing as our only valid source of income at the moment seems to be slicing.

I suggest you just run 1-4 missions for the fps instead

I didnt mean cost in terms of buying faction points, i meant cost in _worth_, as in if you make this spice, that uses faction points, the value you could have sold the raw faction points for must be taken into account. Its a cost analysis to work out a sale cost, regardless of what the production cost is, but taking into account the value of the raw materials. Obiously to increase profit you would earn the faction points, however if time spent doing that was more valuable to you than the monetary cost then you would buy the faction points.
I was basically thinking out loud, and working out a price for the customer that allows the smuggler to make a reasonable profit, and yet still provide a value to the customer. It was a little bit of economics theory of supply/demand/production.

What the hell?
Who even cares about dead-eye? You can only make it with stuff that isnt even available in the game, it will cost a bloody fortune, will probably have a killer downer on it and crispic and citrus snowcake give really good, inexspensive bonuses.
If you want acc bonuses, just use those, its not like there are really any good foods around (except maybe canape, but brandy is just as good).

who cares about deadeye? Well me for a start or i wouldnt have initiated this thread. Also, as previously mentioned, PvP players may care alot about it if it can give them an advantage, hence this disscussion. If you dont care about why discuss it? Yes there are foods that give acc bonuses, there are foods that give mind bonuses and muon gold is still used.
My point was to establish whether a rare item could be give a particualy templated PvP player an advantage on top of buffs and food, that would then create a market opportunity in game. It may or may not, hence discussion.

1. Yes you can make it in a factory (I have)
2. I don't know if you can still make it, but I would presume so.

3. The market is basically non-existant from what I have seen. But I do have some, and when someone does something nice I give them a dose and they get VERY happy.
4. If I am having trouble hitting something and I *need* to hit it, I pop a dose.
