I have had this idea for a long time but thought i should air it. It may be hard to do but I would think not. think about the validity a bit before bursting my bubble too please.

Smuggler is a hybrid and should be because it is a profession usually chosen for the quick but quasi-legal or outright illegal credit. It may also be a profession of necessity or a profession that your environment(bad neighborhood) led you into.

Why would every pirate, smuggler, dealer, slicer, etc. be the same? We come from various backgrounds and unlike other professions smuggler is a profession that isn't defined by a disciplned set of rules or traditions it is a link to the underword.

So after all that is said my idea is that some smugglers would have unarmed and pistol skills but some would have carbine and unarmed or maybe fencer and rifle, etc. Your means of defence and offense would be more defined by personal choices and availability as well as what you saw work as you began your illicit trade.

Even if you only loosened one requirement I would say make it the pistol one so that you have to have one of the 3 marksman lines.

Yep. I mean I'm so used to being one of the few Smuggler/Merchants out there (though a lot more have sprung up lately I've noticed) and Sluggy was one of the ONLY smuggler/politicians. I'm all for variety, and while I believe tight pre-req's are necessary for skill point penalty's sake, they don't have to be specific.
