Thread: grinding slices and spices
IF you are doing this for a holo :
Dont use an mol clamps as they slow you down
grind with one tool at a time, overt impin kor vella overt reb in bestine
dont buy knives make them yourself , you use a struckture tool for it, it it doesnt work, you'r bugged log out untill JTL
Ok hologrinders stop reading here .......................................................................................................................................do not cross the line
If you are not doing this for a holo
- Buy mol clamps and use them when slicing , remember to read the text after you apply them.
- Slice containers untill slicing 2, then have a friend make you about 300 survival knives and 300 wuk's and get 300 clamps or just get extra survival knives for failed slices
- For spices get 3 crafting tools and grind shadowpaw until spices 3, then change to thrusterhead
- Dont buy containers as you will be messing up the path for smugglers coming after you
ok, i just grinded spices all the way through 4 and got my slice 1.
This is how i did it
with fellow smuggler instruction)
i went to Coronet starport in Corellia. I made a macro that said "i will slice your containers for free or buy them from you, please send tell, im making spices"
In just a couple hours i had bought a few containers sliced some for free and was givin about 5 for free. Inbetween that i was grinding spices. I got my spice 4 and slice 1. There were plenty of Smugglers running around there for training. And with spices...i found no XP cap. I had enough xp for Spice 3 before i got trained. Oh ya when grinding spice use Shadowpaw...it only takes metal and organinc. Being a scout...i had plenty of organic...and i bought a crate of 3k copper. Make sure you have clamps for a 100% success rate (at least i did) and make your own knives. I even got lucky and found a blue crystal on my first slice...sold it for 500k...i was happy...lol. Now for the hard part............
I was suprised at the support i had doing the slicing. One guy said "i've been there done that" and gave me 6 containers...for free...I /tip his bank due to his generosity.
Bummer you deleted your containers.../comfort...lol
I'm going to take the advice on slicing containers till slicing 2. Slicing a terminal just doesn't provide the xp...lol.
I'm going the Artisan Engineering route through to Gunsmith, as well as up to Buisnesswoman.I was hoping spices would give the xp for general crafting and i was bummed it didnt. Now i need t find a fast grind for general crafting xp cuz each item seems to have its own xp output...lol

I think most master smugglers have sympathy for novices working on slicing. I usually refuse to open containers for people and also save all containers for novice smugglers.

You might want to try mixing it up a bit wit. When I mastered the first time, I didn't have much money and had to keep running missions to make money (as well as to get pistol xp) and just sliced the terminal every time I got a mission and while I was waiting for shuttles. I just didn't use clamps on terminals because the clamps were expensive, and it wasn't such a big deal if I goofed.

Great Idea...both on containers and slicing terminals. Can we slice shuttle terminals?? Or are e limited to just mission terminals??
Just missions. I always found a mission terminal close enough to a shuttleport that I could watch for the shuttle.
ohh ok got ya.
Now how do i put the message i'm replying to in m message with the nifty white box like everyone else...lol
