SOE: I did, sir. He's my cousin.

lmao, and I get ban for telling people if a dev was ingame he would type :urinates on smugglers....

So if I hit the print screen button while in game and load the image to my desk top can I have a friday feature as well?

You cant tell me with your cheer outlook on everything that this wasnt very very disappointing to you, and that it didnt upset you in the slightest bit. The Friday Feature I am refering to.

Disappointed? A little...but I'm already over it.Upset? Not at all. It really isn't enough to ruin my day.
Even if I was upset, I still see the value in avoiding vulgarity, flames,and insults. I believe that you can still express frustration and anger without resorting these things...I have to do it all the time at my job. Admittedly, finding a balance between getting your point across and getting in apissing contest (or getting banned from the forums ) can be tough.
Even if everyone in the game asked for one thing on that thread, and SOE truly wanted to accomodate us, I think it would be unrealistic to expect to see the result in this week's FF. Remember, TH said they were looking for ideas for future FFs...he didn't say that they had nothing lined up at all.
I will admit though, I am curious as to why the community was told to expect something for the Fencers this week and we got wallpapers instead. I don't think that SOE set out to screw or lie to the Fencers, but there is obviouslya breakdown in the system somewhere. Hopefully our cries as Smugglers on the FF thread will encourage other players to hold SOE accountable for other things as well. The disconnect or breakdown at SOE has got to be fixed if the majority of the community (other than my cheery self ) is to be kept happy...and subscribing.

In Everquest.... the way the Players get what they want for their Class, from SOE...
Is either they:
A: Stage a massive in-game Protest/Boycot of the Class/Profession and refuse their services to anyone who asks and conducts a "Stand Down" Protest. Meaning everyone agress to take their Character to one of the most traficed locations of the Game World and they all just "Stand there" .. do nothing. Some go AFK. But the rule is, just stand there, and do nothing. Refuse all offers to group and/or hunt.
B: The community rallies as many players of that class/profession as possible to all Cancel their Accounts at a certain day/time, all coordinated... so SOE see's a sudden, massive account cancelling going on, all of the same Class/Profession.... but of course the accounts only stay cancelled for several days or so. The idea is, that just all those Accounts being cancelled all at once sends a message.
In Everquest, the Warriors and the Druids have had both tactics work for them to great extent.
The Warriors actually perfected the "Stand Down" concept be taking their Stand Down protest to the Portal to the Plane of Tranquility... in the Plane of Knowledge... which at the time was THE most traveled spot in the Game... Knowledge giving access to every city in the game and Tranquility being the only access to the rest of the entire Planes of Power Expansion.
Players had to go through there to hunt, and they had to wade through dozens upon dozens and dozens of Warriors all Standing there, refusing to do anything until their Class was fixed.
Not only that; they managed to coordinate it so the event took place at the same time... on EVERY SINGLE SERVER!!
SOE came out the next day with an Announcement about negotiations with Class Represenatives on fixing the problems with the Class.
The Druids; staged a massive Server Wide Protest once, to the point where SOE President, John Smedley personally logged into the game world as a Player Character to personally talk to them about their concerns.
If any of you guys have ever played Everquest to any great extent, you know what I am saying. You know this is how SOE is. They DO NOT, give a d@mn... To them; it is all about making the money... and producing a game that is attractive enough to pull more people in willing enough to sucker out their wallets.
How many of your know of the comic website called GUComics and its artist Woody?
Last year, in protest of SOE producing such a horrible Expansion for Everquest, and then announcing another Expansion right on its heels... Woody drew a Comic about John Smedley sneaking his hand into Woody's back pocket to steal his Wallet... and Woody yelling at him to "Get out of my d@mned pocket Smedley!!"
That one Cartoon sparked a massive, Player Community Wide Protest against SOE, boycotting the next Expansion... which in turn caused SOE to stop and pause. Yes, actually stop and pause and look at the Players and think for a change. SOE then canceled the release of that next Expansion and opened negotiations with the players, by completely revamping its Dev to Community Relations... they held Elections in each of the Classes/Professions to nominate Class Coorespondents (which we already have here) and the Dev's started communicated more to the Community.
The end result turned out to be one of the best Expansions they had yet produced... Everquest: Omens of War... They tore down the Berlin Wall between the Dev's and the Player Community; which they, themselves had originally erected several years before and hid behind.
Now there is open communication between the two... with Players coming forward and telling friends about .. "Hey! I was soooo mad about that problem we had last night, and you know what? A Dev actually CALLED me! Personally! He called me, and said.. Hey what don't you like about this and tell me what I can do to fix it so you and your friends will like it..."
A friend of mine has actually had John Smedley personally call and talk to her about some her concerns she has been very vocal about...
So you see guys.
SOE does not listen, and they do not care... until the PLAYERS... enough of them or ALL of them band together and start crying and yelling.
All it took was one, shy comic strip artist named Woody... and then suddenly several hundred thousand Players are boycotting SOE's next expanions and screaming at SOE to .. FIX IT!! FIX IT NOW OR ELSE!!
SOE couldn't hide from that.
I understand that Star Wars Galaxies does not have quite the following and population that Everquest has, or had... Everquest's population has dwindled in recent months due to the newer games out there... Worlds of Warcraft and Everquest II taking a lot of people away from the classics.
But I also see a LOT of players out there, even non-Smugglers... who seem to be VERY passionate about wanting the Smugglers to be able to Smuggle. But I still do not see as much of an uproar over it as I do in Everquest when the players want SOE to fix something.
Now I have only been playing for just over a month, but as passionate as most people seem to be about this Smuggler Revamp... and with all the Community angst over the seeming lack of interest from SOE. I am surprised that no one HAS yet, tried to stage some massive, Community wide protest over it.
But then, as I said, I have only been playing for just over a month so maybe someone has already done it.
So maybe it is time for another, even bigger one?
