I was thinking today, and figured I would post a general thank you to those that impact my life. Although this list may leave out some very notable people, it is a general list of people that when they speak (or write), I listen ... regardless of anything else.

Warren Buffet (Berkshire Hathaway)
Allen Greenspan (Federal Reserve)
My father
my best friend Thomas
Gunthar Gable (Guild leader in-game)

Smugglers on the forums

/deepbow to you all that are involved, intelligent, passionate, and influential. I may not agree with everything, but I appreciate everything.

I'm honoured to be on that list; I'll do my best to keep myself on it .

While I always listen to everyone's views and ideas (I wouldn't be a very good correspondent if I didn't ), I count yours amongst the voices that have impressed and affected me during my time here. So, right back at you, thanks .

Hey...umm...there's a typo in there. I think you said "NickHeel" Nah, really, thank, man. Personally, I just do my best because that's all anyone can do. Anything less would be cheating yourself or a community that you want the best for

Like I said before: In the immortal words of Burt Gummer, "Doin' what I can with what I got."

I fixed that typo you had up there....

V E E L A "her royal hawtness"
I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Jimmy is cool too, just not 'influential'

eg. cheeseburger in paradise, son of a sailor, etc.

(before my time, but good) ... I am 31

The funny thing about Warren Buffet is that his financial practices are somewhat common sense. The depth to which he takes it is amazing but little things like analyzing a stock as if you were really buying the company, and not just looking at whether or not it will go up 2 points so you can dump it for a quick buck, are what's great about him.

Greenspan is influential because he has so much more of an influence on our lives than what people realise. He doesn't always do it right, but he does have the influence.

As far as the Smugglers on the list, they have made more people stop and really think about things than anyone else on these forums (you included Geevo), so another great choice.

So I guess you could say you made people think about, or become aware of, some of the people that influence them whether they realise it or not, and that is influential... Oh when the hell did I start sounding like a fortune cookie?

Nice post Geevo!

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I influence people...just not in a "conventional" way. Maybe that's why I didn't make Geevo's list?
