Yikes. So you can still buy the faction even if you're at the rankcap? Like, if your rankcaps at 1,000 faction (nice round number), you can still pump hundreds of thousandscredits into the NPC and he'll "give" you the faction but because of your rank capping your faction total, you won't receive any more?
If so, this issue needs to be /bugged and reported. Money sinks are one thing, but this is just wrong.

well i was 388 below my cap of 60600 and bought 100k worth, was using macro and not paying attention

if you are under your cap you can buy and you lose the rest.
If you are AT your cap you will get a "you have done enough for us thank you" message.
If you are AT your cap you will get a "you have done enough for us thank you" message.

Ok, cool. Just likeit had been.That's what I was worried about, though, that when they got rid of the buying cap it somehow screwed up the rank cap. Which I guess that would have been pointed out on TC but then again, lots of stuff get's jacked when patched to Live lol

Well didn't checked today but I know on TC it was like that.

Just like when you're killing factional NPCs. If your seven points from capping, and kill one worth fifteen, you'll get seven. The next one you kill gives you a message saying you can no longer gain any more X Faction.

Just so you know, I have charged someone around that much for that little, just because I'd be damned if I didn't make thier annoyance cost them.

hehe...I dumped my Buy macro when I hit 60213...then just clicked through to the 20k option for another 250...
