So the spice tree is going bye bye and spices can only be obtained through smuggler missions?
This would make the price and value of spice go up considerably ..no?

Correct, they'll only be available through missions.
As for how this will affect their prices.. that depends a lot on whether they ever become useful, how much spice we get per mission, how many people convert to smuggler once these changes go live, and whether there will be any difference in quality between a single type of spice. That is, whether all Neutron Pixie will continue to have identical stats, or whether they will vary in some way.

I'm so glad, I loathe the spice branch!

The revamp is going to impact the player economy, I believe. Damage slices are going to be the rave with spice, I hope, being in high demand. Just reading how a slice will be performed, and the customizations, I'm guessing that slicing prices will probably triple, at least on my server where you can get a Master Smuggler slice for 3000 to 5000c per slice. Have any of you even given thought to this part of the revamp? Just curious...

I think it will be hard to set prices before we have the time to play after the CURB hit live. Too many changes coming to know for certain right now.
For example, hopefully damage slices won't be the only ones in demand anymore.

I for one will soon be dusting off my food factories and getting a small stash set up in one of my houses, since we won't be crafting it anymore.

Bah lol, that's exactly why they need to make the old spice obsolete once the new stuff comes in. Otherwise the market will be all screwed up for a long time, possibly permanently.

I agree Tomo...and this is from a Smuggler with a house completely full of spice crates.

*thinks of all the resources and spice stockpiled all over the galaxy... shudders... *
Anyone able to provide a link to the 'official' description of this change... I seem to have missed this part.

Yup, we will...aquire spices trough illegal means, instead of crafting it.
Some will surely choose to... stock up on spices by taking risk "detourning" to their profit part of all of their delivery. Making their life more...dangerous.
Cool eh?

Hopefully they will tweak out the new spices to be more useful. After all, if it's worth smuggling, it's gotta be better than the dreck we cook up as Smugglers.
I think there will still be a light market for it, even though everyone is buffed and eating the finest Chef foods around. I keep some spices hotkeyed as a panic button, but it would be great if it had more general use and higher demand.
I remember how much muon I sold to Riflemen before the Chef revamp!

Remember that we have no idea yet of the effect of the CURB on spices, buffs, food, etc.
It WILL change. Let's hope thoses changes will give spices it's place back.
