Thread: Are you going to slice for BH's?

Under the proposed smuggler revamp, it looks like it will be counterproductive to slice BH specific equipment like scatter pistols or armor. I for one am never going to slice a scatter pistol from here on, cause it might be the gun that kills me some day. Any thoughts?

Then you won't get any money from me and when I kill you with my sliced pistol then I won't have any regrets and won't think twice about killing you.

Let me give you another view point since I am a MBH.
If I have smugglers who slice weapons for me (and I do) and they charge me a fair price and I see them on the terminal. My likely course of action would be to tell them they are on the terminal. It's kinda stupid to bite that hand that feeds me. By doing that I may even get a free slice.
BUT if you won't slice my weapons or try to price gouge me. You can be sure I will write your name down in my note book and if I see you on a terminal they you KNOW I will be after you for payback. So your decision would actually result in every BH having a grudge against you. Now thats really smart. lol

Yeah, but are you going to tell all the other MBH's, "Don't kill that guy, he'll slice for you"?

If any Bounty Hunter has flexible enough morals to arrange that kind of deal, I'd be more than happy to slice for them, perhaps even half off.

You summed up my thoughts on it perfectly. If I was a BH I would do the same thing, and as a Smuggler I'd hope any BH's I slice for would do that for me. If they didn't and hunted me down, then I wouldn't hold it against them; I'd just be a whole lot smarter about my visibility in the future

I'm really torn. I want to be cool and slice peoples stuff, but on the other hand it might be kind of fun playing hide and seek for a while with a final showdown.

Of course. Money is money. If they kill me all I get is a decay free trip to the cloning center. But I still keep their money

Well same thing with Rebs and imp smugglers, will you slice an imp's weapon if your a reb? Personally I would. That's what being smuggler is all about.

I'm not sure what will happen after CB, but i assume that no MBH will be able to kill a smuggler with one or 2 shots, so i think that the problem on having visibility for smugglers will only be an annoying waste of time. I usually equip my armor when i'm full buffed and ready for PvP (On PvE armor is just not essential), so usually if i get "unwanted PvP" (it's over a month that if i declare my only option to go covert is dieing, no covert option from recruiter) i just hit my FD hot key and i wait for the enemies to get tired. What will be different if you get attacked by a bh? just press FD wait untill he get tired and go back to your business.
