I bet this actually did deter some young thugs from picking up a gun

It's real, Snopes has an article on it. Happened a year ago, and the video just started making the rounds a few months ago.

The original feed I saw it on was CBS news, so I assume it's real, but that was a java based video client so Ic ouldn't link that one.

I remember seeing that on the news not too long ago, although it wasn't quite as long as that (didn't have the part with the assault rifle, i know that).

Just goes to show that even a professional can do something really stupid... He's just lucky it didn't kill him or one of the students.
