Thread: Devs, we find your lack of communication disturbing.

Seriously, we are not terrorists. There is no harm in talking to us. We´ve been through allthis prior to the CU, we don´t need this again!
I used to have faith in the LA/SOE team - when I first started playing the game. And even while all the CU nay-sayers had their way - I kept myself optimistic.
Now that all that is overwith (what prompted the CU anyways...) Smuggler still can't smuggle. Squal Leaders cannot lead. There is no point to seeking a Dancer/Musician other than to look at some fine booty. Image Designers are meerely makeup specialists. And only God knows how many other professions are completely useless.
I am not one to lay blame - but SOE and Lucas Arts ruined my fun in this game.
To shame for you after ruining so many peoples enjoyments.
Personally I think they are at the moment a huge problem and I decided to consider many problems their responsibility (instead of blaming Devs).
- and oh the fun I have reading about someone being from New Jersey
- and the Toons we can't forget the Toons
- and the "sorry we did phrase it wrong in the patch notes - wouldn't have guessed someone would get mad" posts, (better we don't do patch notes anymore at all, works for everything else)
- and the "look someone who seems to care more about the game than we, has written an excellent guide, which is outdated but we found it and it was properly formatted already" Posts
- and oh yeah the Tuesday Tipps - I love to post them Tipps, luckily i have about a milion of them lined up, because since there's no current documentation just about everything is a secret tip.
Really Mr MacGregor you are overstating it. You, Player, you.
Cheers
Magnum
i've written up a nice little message about our ongoing plight and i'd like to send it to every major gaming website.

Totally right.
I mean, really, with all the frickin money they are making off of us, they should hire some "Community Relations" type person who doesnothingBUT answer reasonable questions on the forum all day.
Maybe attend a meeting or two with designer/developer types to get some answers and find out what's going on with the latest changes.
Whatever happened to that thing where they'd answer a few questions from each profession every week? How long did that last, like 2 months?
I think it's getting to the point where you have to start to question the morale over at their office. Maybe Tiggs and ThunderHeart are just so fed up with everything, they don't care any more and are looking to get off the sinking ship.
3 Simple Steps To Keeping the Community Happy
1.) Have the "Community Relations" peeps actually relate to the Community! Is it too much to ask for at least 1-5 meaningful posts every day?
2.) Listen to feedback! Ugh. This might be a bit harder to pull off since there's so much to listen to. But they do create these "Focus Threads", and then they ignore the info in them! There is no way in heck the crafting experimentation display bug should have made it to live when it was reported several times on Test Center!
3.) Make the Devs post on occasion. They must have more developers working on this massive game than just Blixtev, right? Take all the professions. Split them up. Assign certain professions to certain developers. Force them to (wait for it... wait for it....) actually PLAY the frickin profession! And insist they make an appearance at least once a week in the profession forum(s) they are responsible for and at least say "Hi guys, I am DevX, and I am responsible for the Donut Maker profession!"
I swear, they need to start firing people around there. It's really NOT that hard to keep players happy. It almost seems like they're going out of their way to piss us off.

Even without the free month.
*blink blink*
wow, since this game is my first impression with the world of MMORPGs, i thought all MMORPG companies were pretty much like SOE.
thankfully i'm wrong.

I may just have to go buy CoH. It'd be nice to see some good customer service for a change.
Yeah, no idea if the game is crap, but that´ll be a nice change for once.
