Thread: Was thinking about Smuggler requirements....
If we say that we should be able to win a bar fight we should get Melee specials and bonuses to justify that requirement.
If we go more into the slicing department/spice crafting artisan comes to mind.

But saying that, when did Han Solo use Center of Being and do some Melee Strikes on Greedo ![]()
Agreed on the Artisan, but keep in mind that Spices are fixed values, whereas Artisan varies according to the Exp and Assembly Points.
If not Ranged Support, then maybe something else....perhaps medic since Smugglers are meant to mostly work solo so need to be able to tend their own wounds...

Yeah agreed, we're supposed to be able to do what we like on this game but we're limited so much...
Like I said, smuggler is crowd control, and for crowd control, concussion shot is awesome (as is panic shot, lowblow, warning shot, reckless shot, restraining shot and so on and so forth)
Yes I soloed Gorax and Krayt too while Concussion Shot was broken, but now I can rely on the group to do damage, I only decide whom to fight, less stress
As one of two Rebels in a very small Imperial guild, I work almost always soloing, which is why I still need my root (not to mention that when the guild does do something in groups I'm a very highly valued part with root and added range)
Like I said, I only keep Smuggler because I enjoy it, it's a nice profession to have with lots of potential. Now fair enough, Concussion Shot is not completely useless. E.g. I was with two guildies hunting Kimogilas, and we stumbled across 3 of them. So our Ranger picked a target, aggroed them, then I used Stopping Shot to root one of them in place, used Concussion Shot on the second, then hit the Stopped one enough times to get his aggro, and while he was still rooted, attacked the other one. So I aggroed both of them, used feign death, and they went away so I could help finish off the first Kimo. But it just doesn't work as effectively as before.
Han did beat the snot out of that one scout trooper in RotJ without a shot fired
