Thread: Quote from Gaitan that spoke to me.
What rash decisions? If SOE, by some miracle, should come around you can always resubscribe. Just dump a ton of cash into your house maintenance first.
I though never go back...I also never turn left for something like a passed restaraunt or gas stationwhen I can as easily find a substitute on the right. Sony and their products are those left-hand turn gas stations as far as I'm concerned.
My outlook right now is that I can always re-activate my account later if I want to.
It just suddenly became very silly for me to sit here and pay $15 a month to basically beta-test a broken game...or pay $15 a month to sit here and hope that they finally decide my professions are worthy enough to fix or add some sort of content to.
Once (or rather if) they actually fix the professions I'm interested in playing - then I can justify paying them to play.

i'll get yoooooou!!! *shakes fist*
Lately, I've been paying to play not for my own enjoyment, but because I feel more like a lynch pin to a series of other people. If I deleted my toons, The Smuggler city would vanish, two cities would lose a citizen on Starider, one on Gorath, people on Gorath would lose 10 lots worth of Factories... my guild would lose a senator.
And I would lose my 20 lots worth of junk, my 90 some odd badges, my toon which is basically the next two phases away from unlocking initiate (not that I want to but it was a lot of work).
And some friends.
I mean, it's not so much the SWG is enjoyable, so much as I feel like I can't lol.
Anyone else kinda sticking around for similar reasons?
I could be gone in two days, but I 'll let my main account run a month more for my city, my guild, my friends, and my customers. But I'm done.
but eventually, if enough of us leave, there will come a critical point, where the game collapses. i think... /shrug.
but yeah i know exactly what you mean keck, i feel like i can't leave because of obligations.
you know raph koster wrote about that. he said something about how if you allow players "ownership" of things. like houses, equipment, towns, ect... then they feel connected to the game more, and are less likely to leave.
any time you "own" something you take on an obligation. especially when it's something like a share in a town or guild.
Same reason too - only thing is though - I'm VERY close to hitting the cancel button myself. I just feel guilty for the friends that i brought into the game and I play with regularly. I'd be abandoning them - but I'm sure they'd understand how I feel.
I'm confliced. I need another Dancer hug... ladies?
Or heck, I'll be more direct - Veela - get over here! ![]()

I think that's it for me. I'll be making my final decision tonight. At the very least - I'm definately protesting in-game on my Smuggler toons and I may carry on the Armorsmith business (as its growing like crazy), but I'm so upset that its all one big kick in the pants. Damn you SOE. You damn dirty apes...Except you Ganyemed (if I spelled that right), you kinda creep me out sometimes... Vin Diesel... geez!
I'm basically in the exact same position as you. I'm waiting til tonight to make a decision, but I'm pretty much over the hump.
