I have said a few things in the last week that I might not be totally happy with how I said them, reading back on them. Especially after reading MANY reply’s to what I wrote, I realize that many couldn’t care less, and many are more upset at me for standing on a box and preaching. For this I’m sorry. But am I sorry for having a passion for this profession or game, hell no, neither should you.
01-27-2004 11:27 AM that’s the date and time I became a MASTER SMUGGLER. I logged out and logged into this forum and created my forum account. I had started PLAYING the game on September 22 2003 at around 8pm I know this cause it was my birth day. I have been very happy posting small inconsequential posts, as many of you rack up huge totals of posts I have not even posted more than like 20 times in a week. Why does this matter, just because you have not seen my name being as vocal about anything as you does not mean that I dislike you as a person, or that I am in no way not a vet of this forum.
2 weeks ago, I started posting just about everywhere "SMUGGLERS WANT TO SMUGGLE" and got a 7-day ban after a few posts were deleted. Was this ban unwarranted? Maybe, maybe not. On Tuesday of this week I was horrified to find that a macro that I had emailed in game became the Tuesday TIP. I was furious and in a craze. Many of you were also pissed that it was a slap in the face of smugglers everywhere. I was doubly pissed, cause it was like a slap in the face and a punch to the gut to me, I felt singled out, by the DEV’s. Did I want to have that attention? No. Did I get it? Yes did the DEV’s talk to me because of it? Yes. Will they continue to talk to us in the future? God I hope so.
YES I have read the history threads, actually many times, and its just so cliché to say, "If you don’t know the past, you’re doomed to repeat it." I have had since Wednesday morning about 12 emails sent to me from DEV’s and I have written them back. Yesterday I decided after I had a few days to cool down that, yes we have been screwed, but yes they are talking to us. Believe it or not they do care, and have feelings, after all they are just human JUST LIKE US.
I’m a big girl and can take being called a kiss a** or a brown nosier. Sticks and stones so they say. But when there is a dialogue going on between a few people, and someone has apologized and expressed that yes there has been wrong doing in the past, which should be the end of it. Later people come in and try to hold this person accountable YET AGAIN for the actions he has admitted to doing. It very much like beating a dead horse, yes they know the history, yes they are sorry, no they wont answer questions of why this was done. But they are also TALKING to us, which is more than they have really done in a long time.
I’m just like many of you, but I'm also a person that can forgive. Might just be a coincidence that the DEV’s stopped posting in that thread when people starting attacking them with history posts and demanding answers. I do not know for sure, but I know how I would feel if someone did that to me. Call me a noob who cares, but don’t ever doubt for a second that I would love to have Smuggling in this game just as much as the next girl or guy.
Yes I do believe that having a POSITIVE attitude in your posts is important. Does it make a difference? I don’t know, I feel it does. Does seeing this game stagnate and die because of an alpha class hurt YES. The most fun I ever had was defending Bestine in raids from wankerhead or holding smuggler events on my server.

Tral, As we have spoken about before, I respect you views and approach on the situation and all I ask is the same in return. The plain and brutally honest truth is that what is going on now is no different than what has been going on for the last two years. You say that you have read the timeline many times so you know that this is not the first time that we have been in a constructive communication process with the devs, yet we are no closer. I am no longer listening to what they say, there is no longer any reason for dialogue. The Community has posted ideas and dialogue for the last two years. The devs can easily go back and pull from that to see what we have been asking for the last two years. I personally am not going to waste my effort talking about ideas when we have two years worth of them. They have also stated numerous times that we are "high on their priority list" in some form or another, yet once again herewe are. The devs and SOE, I repeat the Devs and SOE, are the only ones responsible for constructing this wall of distrust and the only way, for me at least, to start to tear down that wall will be nothing short of action on the devs part. Not words, not promises, not dialogue of ideas, but straight and undeniable action. Then and only then will I begin to consider entering into a constructive dialogue with the devs. Until then there are plenty of good ideas they can pull from should they need ideas, and until then I will continue my campaign as I have started. You can hate me for it, you can respect me for, you can feel however you feel towards me about it but it makes no different, I absolutely will not heed until the Devs and SOE start to actually do something. I will not heed until I am able to go onto the test center and begin testing something viable.
I would just like to leave you with a thought. How long do you consider an acceptable amount of time to follow a course of constructive dialogue before you decide enough is enough? 2, 3, 4 years?
