Thread: Yesterday i was embarrassed to be a jedi...

So a decided to drop MBH and had been in theed cantina dancing all day when someone logs in and starts dancing nearby, she suddenly starts whining her head off about her jedi who just got killed on another server. Ok i thought, she'll stop in a moment and everyone can go back to chatting happily. Nope.
She then explains how she's hard done by, she used the respec exploit to gain her 150k terminal status and she had been in the Ryatt trail semi AFK when the BH had come for her. "I didnt expect a bloody rifle bh to come into the rifle its just not fair" Eh? So i start to get annoyed with her saying she shouldnt exploit the Ryatt and AFK grind anyway, she then starts some bawling about how its perfectly legal and its all the griefing BH fault shes not finished template by now. She then proceeds to justify herself on and on and says "oh hell its their fault and any that come for me are gonna get as much abuse as i can give them" she then rants about how its good fun to send hate tells and taunt bh from the LOS spot.
After this point i was fuming and used that wonderful tool /addignore and shortly after she left for another ryatt session i was told.
Its taken this long for me to realise but god damn jedi needs a massive boot up the arse, developer size 15's with steel toe cap.
I was extremely glad i was on my Smuggler/Dancer character at the time.

sounds to me like she was better of just dancing, goddam AFK grinders deserve to get the BH-stick up their ......

Out of all the 50+ distinctly different (alright, different named) force users with lightsabers that I have seen in the last few months, I have still yet to encounter one single Jedi or Sith Master/Apprentice.

Dont be embarrassed to be a Jedi ,you, at least have some honour , theres nowt wrong with peeps who have worked hard to be this type of character and behave in a mature and sensible way whilst having fun , if peeps wanna be jedi and play them in the honorable way they are supposed to be then that enhances my game and other peoples too , its all the droves of 15 yr old mummy bought this account for me l33t j3d3y3 that have ruined it for the majority of players and mature jedi.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was someplace that would draw the "wanabe's" away from the Starports and Ryatt Trails of the game. It's the fact that this kind of player are leaving their characters so visible, so blatantly in-your-face, so ridiculously dressed if they're dressed at all, that's draining some of the Star Warsy feel of the game.
I can't stand loading into Kashyyyk to see Jedi characters wearing nothing but boxers, a swoop helmet and wielding a sabre. You've all seen them!
This open visibility is one of the two things that's bugging non-Jedi players on the boards. The other is the conflict between Jedi and non-Jedi over PvP balance and the way some players fail to portray Jedi characters in a Star Warsy way.
The solutions to these two problems are:
- Penalise Jedi heavily for visibility. And I mean severely. We're talking Vader landing in a Lambda with a contingent of CL90 Dark Troopers right in front of the offending Jedi player here people. Add additional Hate/Agro to all Stormtroopers who 'see' a lightsabre. Make those Troopers Social so that if once a trooper gets attacked by a Jedi (or anyone for that matter) the squad mate standing right next to him will help him out. I would pay £50 to watch that happen the first time...
- Give the Jedi an 'end game' system that keeps them tied up withtheir own concerns. A system with a side for the l33t h4x0rs and a system with a side and content for the RPGers. A system that only brings the Jedi/Sith into contact with non-Jedi only rarely, perhaps only for supply runs or for genuineRPG/fun. Maybe a system that is the only way to progress as Jedi. If Jedi can't really affect the non-Jedi world and vice versa except for controlled instances, then power balancing becomes less of an issue and we all get to live as one happy SWG family.
The rumour is that SOE are developing a system to replacethe Force Rank System which went someway to keeping a lot of these"wanabe" Jedi players distracted.
If this new system they're working so hard on indeed keeps the l337 h4x0rs (as opposed to the more genuine Jedi RPGers, note the distinction) out of our hair then I'm happyfor the Devsto continue to concentrate on that and then put in the smuggler content afterwards. It would only benefit everyone.

Most of the Jedi I see running around should be embarrassed because they all make themselves look like asshats.
It's the ones you don't see much that really deserve to be a Jedi.

Or the other classic is the aforementioned "warm hat" pants ,LS whilst "dancing" outside a starport , licking and slapping people , very jedi like im sure!?!?!?!?!?
And yes , I know I can /addignore , unfortunately I can still see them!!!!!!!!!
