I think I will be dropping Master Smuggler soon ...
My first Holo was Bounty Hunter, so with the changes I will now be able to get Master Bounty Hunter with only going down to 0444 Smuggler ... and then as soon as I get it ... I will get the Master Smuggler back.
At that point I will check the next Holo and see if I want to go after that ...
The only reason I am thinking of doing this is because when I do unlock, I want to keep Geevo as a Smuggler and have a Jedi as an alternate ... but once I get silent, I will probably stop anyway ... so I really don't know what I am thinking :/

All the holocrons have gone silent. Using one now will not tell you any information. The entire holo-system will be turned off in the next publish, approximately 6 weeks from now. If you happen to master all 5 holocron professions (4+ the silent) before the publish, the Devs have said you will get a message that you have unlocked, but you will not be able to access the new toon until after the publish.
Not saying you shouldn't go ahead and do BH, but your're shooting in the dark after that.

I can confirm this...I had a friend of mine who was pretty new to the game use a holo that I gave him and it was silent.

I see, well I know BH was a holo ... so if I do it, it will progress me forward ... I dunno (I haven't surrendered anything yet)

I was in the same position as you a while back.... I started to play at the beginning of this year
TKM was the first prof I mastered (I just loved unarmed....I already was 0020 when I heard TK weren't very popular lol, and at that time a very popular cry-for-nerf target). After dabbling in commando/pistoleer/smuggler/medic/scout/entertainer and prolly some other stuff I ended up Triple threat AND LOVED IT.
Finally done levelling, and along comes a holo -> Master Artisan
Dropped Some smuggler and TK skills, mastered Artisan in 2 days (damn surveying....BTW you can get ALL the crafting XP for M Artisan in under two hours by making Mol. Clamps....they seem to give crazy XP)
Had some fun as artisan (kept master just long enough to make me some swoops), and I had already opened my next holo: Master swordsman!
I still kept 4400 as long as I could, had to drop TK down to novice, smuggler to 0434 
Master Swordsman in a few days with some nicely sliced weapons AND IT RULED IN PVE!
I the first hour after going MSW I managed to get some unarmed XP, resulting in the loss of about 550K unarmed XP , I fought a guildie AND dropped MSW before I even got up from incap (damn does it suck at PVP compared to my beloved TK...well, My lack of experience and uber weapons might have made a difference, but still it was rediculous how bad I did)

Got my Triple Threat back in a few days....happy as can be....untill Pub.9 went live...(damn weapon switching delay)
Anyhow, I actually just wanted to say your thread seemed VERY akward, you being one of the token Smugglers in SWG

ok ok ... I give ... keeping the triple ...
I just want a Jedi on my alt ... not Geevo to be a Jedi Geevo is a Smuggler ... period

Well, either get an alt account and follow the force that way, or unlock with Geevo and THEN go through the unlocking again with your FSCS. Besides, FS bonuses should be pretty handy for anyone. Why would smuggler be any different?

Well suxxors to you then...it'll be easier the second time, knowing what you're looking for. Or buy an alt and do it with him or yer just outta luck, son.

not getting an alt just to do jedi ... just will stay a wimpy smuggler and focus on trying to make a credit or two (cuz I am the poor boy on the block)
