I know I read a message about what are good/great components to save for REing. Since I can't find the search (is there one?) could someone point me to it?

level 8 reward shield (tier 4 pilot), level 7 reward shield (Nym's starmap), level 8 reward engine(nyms starmap)...to name a few.

Well I was thinking more along the lines of good loot to keep. I know I saw a good thread about it. Can't find it now.

I just keep everything. Never know what a disk will come from.

OK, so I get the message already. But where do I keep things. Any hints on keeping it organized? It may be a while before I can RE a lot of the parts since I'm not even a SW yet.
Also, I would really like to track down that post I was asking for. Maybe if I describe it in more detail. It was a description of what to look out for at each RE level. The tone of the writing was something like "It makes me sick to see nice, valuable componets REed into to junk but I see it in vendors every day. Stop doing it. THIS is what to do."

No clue on the thread, but I just keep everything in my house. I have two backpacks and two unlocked containers full of components lying around waiting for REing. In the next few days, I'll likely upgrade, as I need more room.

Nym's starmap? Could anyone shed some light on what that is?

its a quest obviously, but you start it by finding a downed escape pod out of..... umm.... narmle??? on rori?? i forget now, its been so long since i did it. just go outside the city 500m and go around it and youll eventually find it.

If you have an extra vendor that you're not using, you can use that to store and sort your loot. Put everything up for sale according to RE level. RE2 for 222222 Cr, RE3 for 333333 Cr, etc. Make sure you look at the RE level and not the cert level, sometimes it's different. I usually RE level 1 stuff right away, and just sell it back to the chassis dealer.
