Hi,

My character has master shipwright, and I got the expansion, so now I want to try space mining. My toon has pilot 1/2/1/1 - can I do the starter mission to get space mining components or should I get better piloting skills first?

Some of the missions are rather easy, but I suggest making at least 3/3/3/3 pilot before doing this.

Don't remember where I xp'd but when you get 2222 I think Lok has a nice spot with some slow kimo's

I'm vague about it though, check the pilot forums.

go up pilot skills, you need to be a master to pilot the minning ship.

I would not worry about being able to pilot the Y-8. It is a useless ship. You may want to do a vendor search at the bazzar. You can buy all the parts you need and use them if you have ROTW installed. You will need a Starfighter Cargo Hold and a Mining Laser. I tractor beam will increase you yield per asteroid chunk but is not needed. Good luck and watch out for the Pirates. Just be sure you have a high enough level of component use before you buy.
