Hah, 3cpu on chassis.. I tried, 2cpu and still people undercut me and steal my sales.. Listen people.. even ships made with GRIND are worth 2cpu.. try buying resources!!! youll likely have to pay more than that .
I charge 500k for master ships tho.. again given their earning potential they are well worth every penny. I use the BEST resources I can mine for them (forget buy for the above reasons).
Consider this too.. in my heavy tie (a dune lizard would have done just as well) in normal space killing tier 4 rebels while overt I was earning 6k of faction points in an hour with ease. If I chose to sell I could have sold that 6k for 720k!!!!! (120cr/fp) or 600k if I wanted to upset the local smugglers.
[heavy tie - level 7 crafted engine (100/60/60/60) level 7 gun (3900 dps) 1k F/B RE shields (level 3) and Vanilla L3 crafted armour ]
So now players balk at paying more than 30k for a lizard but oooohhhh noooo they still want the absolute best. So... next time I see someone selling steel with 900+ on OQ SR and UT for 127 cpu.. yes you read that right.. 127 CPU I am going to charge them 3 Mill for a dune lizard.. thats only 200 CPU on the resources.. 127cpu for buying and 70 for my profit.. You can bet your sweet life tho its going to be the best Lizard in the galaxy.. it might even break 87k mass!!! (if the steel also has good HR and MA)
BAH....
Cough up people.. Ship Chassis are worth far more than the 2CPU youre willing to pay.. even a player with the barest modicum of skill could afford to upgrade to the next chassis every tier even at 3 or 4 cpu.
So all you other shippies out there, please dont sell less than 2cpu.. youre getting the buying public into bad habbits. Remember you can only fleece them once per tier (usually) so do it properly.
On to RE components.. the rule of thumb I use is:
price = (RE level * (RE level+1)) *1000
Thats what I would have got if I sold the components to the dealer plus a littel on the top for myself for collecting and picking the best stats to combine, and I STILL consider that CHEAP
so onto crafted items
given that they are laregly competetive with the majority of RE stuff I price them the same
(equipt level * (equipt level + 1)) * 1000 and round up to the nearest 5k (or 10k) level 9 gear comes out at 100k per item on this rate which again is about what I would charge for RE gear.
onto space resource
I can earn more than 300k in an hour. so I have to break that in mining resource to make it worth my while. 100cpu charge for stuff made from mining resource.. although if you bring me the required resources Ill knock the same off any equipmt I make for you.. If the equipmt only needs space resources then Ill build your item for 2k per equipment level.
This is not just advice for new crafters but a plea to the shipwright community in general - pleasedon't sell yoursleves short and cripple the other crafters in the process
