Thread: *sigh* Problems with this...

There are already Master Shipwrights in the live game? What? Not even 24 hours. *sigh*

If this game has any faults, THIS has to be at the top of the list. You have MASTERS in less that 24 hours. I like the 'profession system' for the most part, but this is the one short comming it has. We'll see YT-1300's all over the frickin' place by the end of the day. While I've not investigated the Jedi missions much, the one thing that seems positive about it is that you can only go so far in a 'Phase'... or something like that.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to giving Shipwright a try. We'll see how it goes.

A great Resource Viewer!

Don't lose heart Ecor, the only ones that will master that fast are people in huge guilds that had members contribute resources/lots. Most of us will need at least a few days to master the profession. I don't think, due to the resources required, that the server will be swamped with MP ships for awhile.

Don't forget, all this stuff has to be crafted by hand,a small handful of master shipwrights can't possibly keep up with the massive demand that will be coming at them. Also, it will take time for players to even get to MP ship capability, its going to take a long time to get to master pilot.

Speaking as a Master Shipwright (Probably the first on Kettemoor, but anyway)...

Don't sweat it. I had the opportunity to slam through it, and I did. that doesn't man I'm sucking up all the business. I have maybe... 20 customers, out of the whole playerbase. And i'm swamped to the point that I'm sending people off to Novices that i know who couldn't grind it out, because I can only handle a limited load. Which is fine. Novice-made ships aren't *that* much worse than a master-built ship (Experimentation doesn't yeild huge increases in most things), and people are perfectly happy with them.

On that topic... anyone who is a Novice SW on Kettemoor, feel free to contact me so I can refer people to you for business when I can't add them to my pile. In-game tell or email is best.

One thing to keep in mind, just becasue a YT-1300 can be crafted does not mean that it can be flown. We will have have some Master Pilots before we see them in space.

Yep, the real gate on the types of ships made and flown will be how quickly players can master their respective pilot professions. So give it about3-4 days for YT-1300s to start showing up.
