How are we all pricing components?
Im sticking with a base 5 cpu for my chassis untill i hit master, but im not sure what to use pricewise for my components.
What are you all doing?

The best way to do it is to look at how much it would cost you CPU wise to buy all the resources to complete that ship. If they are going for 10cpu, charge 10cpu, if they are going for 100cpu charge 100cpu.

It was suggested to me to charge 8-15cpu based on your server and the resources used.

i dont use a cpu scheme really for these, tho eventualyl i may adopt one. right now its liek thios
5000 for tier 1
10000 for tier 2
20000 for tier 3
40000 for tier 4
80000 for tier 5
this my be adjusted as the market settles in one direction or another.

As loonatick says, price based off how much it would cost youto buy the resources from a miner then add a small mark up. Remember, once your hoard of resources is gone or if you're running low then you may need to supplement you supplies by buying resources from a vendor. You won't stay in business long if you set your sale price lower than your cost price.

Sorry sorry sorry, i forgot that you were talkin about components and not chassis. You are actualy very close to my pricing guide.
Mark I - 200 4k
Mark II - 500 10k
Mark III - 1000 20k
Mark IV - 2500 50k
Mark V - 5000 100k
Mark II - 500 10k
Mark III - 1000 20k
Mark IV - 2500 50k
Mark V - 5000 100k
In future please use Mark I-V for components, tiers are for chassis

i was thinking about a cpu rating but charging from 10-25 cpu 3 cpu on top of the price per resources because of all the hand crafting

Isn't he talking about components, not chassis?

Are running at a loss man.
Ttier 2 requires 3 times the resources so you are definatly under chargin there.
Unless you harvested all those resources yourself, your at a loss on tier 1.
Actualy your prity much goin at a loss on every tier
Unless you got your resources for under 1 CPU, wich Ii doubt
Sorry if this seems like a flame, not ment to be, just pointing out your loosing credits incredibly fast.

I disagree I'm going to start my tier 1 ships at 50K and work up from there so a tier 5 ship will run someone 100K. Ships last for ever this will be the only way to make money doing shipwright.
Just to point out, chassis dont last for ever. They suffer decay just like components.
