O.K. fellow shippy's.
I don't get out in space much (you all know why..craft...craft...craft)
i just trained 2/1/1/1 Privateer(Im sure ill be at this level for quite a while)
Here's my question...
I've been using the Dunelizard..i love how it handles..very awesome.
I was so HAPPY to upgrade to the Kimo (3 weapons..etc)...so I did.
...put it in the air..Is it just me...or 'does it move like a large turd trying to climp up a staircase'?
how dissapointing...am I doing something wrong..or should I stick w/my lizard?
ty..

the Kimo (snip)..Is it just me...or 'does it move like a large turd trying to climp up a staircase'?
bwaaahahahahahah
Now everybody in my office knows I'm not doing any work. Thanks.
I could tell I wasn't getting in one of those just by how easy it is to shoot them down. Fish in a barrel. Very large, armored fish, but fish never-the-less.

I actually like my Kimo =)
With the new 20k of mass being added... its even better.

you can grind all the way to 4444 and possibly master with a dunelizard... especially if you have a high mass one with well tuned gear in it.
Don't count out that Khiraxz either! it's tiny, but definately has it's role... very hard to outfit but you won't be disappointed
btw.. I'm answering this going by the current mass in live on these chassis. I can't wait to have 10k more mass in my light fighter =)
My new dunelizard has almost 71k mass and I'm not having a problem at 4333... I'm holding off on the heavy sun to see what the mass changes are like with it, as I don't want to spend that much money to miss out and have to buy it again.

Hi,
I stuck with the Dunelizard 'till 3333 , then I looted a kick-ass "Inferno" engine that I just couldn't fit into it. So I stuck it in a Kimogola and it doesn't handle too bad. Plus the top speed of around 800 (I think) really makes it scoot. And of course as others have said in the forums , the best handling seems to be around 50% throttle.

My lizard, the little ugly, has a mass of around 70k and outfitted very nicely, top speed right at 900, with some good weapons, but no missles or counter measures, its pretty much just a big engine with guns. Im at 3/3/4/3 and rocking.

Kimo adheres to a different handling aspect.... You have to slow down to turn faster, as where the dunelizard you have to go faster to turn faster.
In reality the kimo turns faster than the dunelizard..but only if it slows down to half speed.

I've flown both (prepatch versions) and I gotta tell you its a trade off that is about even really. the dune lizard handles far better its faster turns quicker and much harder to hit it definatly has a good compliment of armorments as well and I cant wait to fly the new mass ones. Now the kimo while it is slower and sluggish on turns (drop down to half spd for more effective turns) has a higher mass for better weapons and armor. now here's a key thing that makes me like the kimo so much 2 of the 3 projectile weapons are centrally located rather than on the wings which make targeting a little easier but most of all the 3 weapons total allows me to effectively change from ion to blaster to disruptor to make the shots i hit with count more.
so like i said its a trade off
I like both

I'd say, stick with the Dunelizzard until you feel you really need the extra mass to continue. It just handles so much better.
