is there a guide to how to figure if looted items are good or poor??

sry, but when u r new to JTLS there are alot of figures on these components which mean nothing to the uninitiated.

Any help in finding a guide is much appreciated.

well for the most part you have to see what is crafted and then see how the looted part compares. If it is better then the crafted part then it is prety shure to be good. Especialy sence it can be Reverse Engineered. You have to take into account the skill use compered to the skill use of crafted parts. If a looted part is a level 3 and is better then a lvl 3 crafted component then it is better.

Right now you can almost bet that capacitors are goign to be better and looted engins have a better mas to speed ratio and that reactors can have a better mass to max charge ratio. This post could be huge but what you need to do is think about your craft and think if the crafted or looted part is better for you. any thing extra that you dont want to use sell it on the bazar so that us shipwrights can purchase it and RE it for KSE schm parts. looted droid interfaces are usually better even after the loot change of the last patch.

thngs that are way better crafted then looted. Armor, weps, and alot of the crafted shields. once you get high level weps you can get an amazing loot so as the lvl is higher you need to really look at them.

All of this is changing rapidly buy the drves and the SW wanting the changes. keep aprised of the patch notes and keep looking at the llot stats compared to the crafted stats.

Important things to look at

Mass

recharge rate, max charge rate, top speed,

armor points

and hit points

Hit points and armor is extremely low on looted parts. This is a good thing so that the looted parts dissaper faster then crafted ones. why is that good because alot of the loot parts that are better then the crafted ones are WAY better while the crafted parts that are better then the loot are just kind of better.
